These 2-inch by 12-foot non-sterile gauze bandage rolls are essential tools for securing dressings and supporting minor injuries. Offered in a practical box of 12 units, they provide great freedom of movement while keeping compresses firmly in place. Ideal for first aid kits in the workplace or at home, these stretchable bandages offer reliable and adaptable protection for all parts of the body across Canada.
Also available in 4“ X 12' (PS308) or 6” X 12' 6/box (PS309).
Don't let small injuries become big problems.
Using this bandage is quick and easy. After placing a sterile compress on the wound, begin by wrapping the non-sterile gauze bandage around the limb, performing two full turns to anchor it. Continue wrapping in a spiral pattern, overlapping each previous turn by half. Ensure the tension is firm yet comfortable. To finish, secure the end of the roll using medical adhesive tape or appropriate fasteners. Its 2-inch width is particularly effective for finger or hand bandaging.
To preserve the quality of your bandage rolls, store the box in a dry, clean place, such as a wall-mounted first aid cabinet. Although these products are non-sterile, they must remain free of dust and contaminants. Keep the rolls in their original box until use to prevent them from unrolling or fraying. Perform a visual inventory check every month and restock your 12-unit supply as soon as you begin the last three rolls.
For maximum protection, always use this non-sterile gauze roll over a sterile compress if the wound is open. Take care not to over-tighten the bandage: you should be able to slip a finger underneath easily to avoid cutting off circulation. If the limb becomes pale or numb, loosen the bandage immediately. This product is for single use; never reuse a soiled bandage to maintain rigorous hygiene in your work environment.
A non-sterile bandage is used to hold a dressing or compress (which itself must be sterile) in place, or to support a minor sprain. It is not intended for direct contact with a deep open wound.
No, this gauze roll requires the use of medical adhesive tape or safety pins to secure the final end.
