The 7.6 cm (3 in) Elastic Support Bandage is the benchmark choice for stabilizing mid-sized joints and strained muscles. This "Tensor-style" wrap provides reliable therapeutic compression to relieve pain and reduce inflammation. Its intermediate width makes it the most versatile accessory in the range, adapting perfectly to an athlete’s ankle or an industrial worker’s elbow.
You'll also find this model in 5 cm X 5 m (PS403), 10 cm X 5 m (PS405) or 15 cm X 5 (PS406).
The 3-inch format is often considered the "universal size" in first aid. Unlike narrower bandages that can create uncomfortable pressure points, or wider models that are difficult to handle on mobile joints, the 7.6 cm bandage allows for uniform and ergonomic wrapping.
It is the ideal tool for treating ankle sprains, calf strains, or providing additional support after cast removal. Its ability to be washed and reused makes it a sustainable and cost-effective investment for any home medicine cabinet or OHS-certified workplace first aid kit.
Enhanced Versatility: Perfect for ankles, knees (small to medium sizes), elbows, and forearms.
Adjustable Compression: Allows for precise control of the pressure applied to the injured area to limit edema.
Extended Comfort: Breathable fabric minimizes skin irritation and allows heat to escape.
Easy Maintenance: Hand-washable in lukewarm water for optimal hygiene and repeated use.
Quick Fastening: Comes with sturdy metal clips for a secure fit.
For optimal support, begin wrapping at the point furthest from the heart (for example, near the toes for an ankle injury) and move upward gradually. Each layer should overlap the previous one by about half the width of the bandage. Apply firm tension, but be careful not to impede blood circulation. Secure the end using the provided clips. If you experience any numbness, loosen the bandage immediately.
To preserve the elasticity of the fibers, hand wash the bandage with mild soap. Do not wring it out; instead, press it gently and let it air dry flat, away from direct heat sources. Once dry, roll it up firmly so it regains its initial shape and is ready for the next emergency.
Absolutely. It is excellent for securing bulky compresses or abdominal (ABD) pads on a limb while adding a compressive component that helps control minor bleeding.
Most elastic bandages of this type contain latex threads to provide their tension. If you have skin sensitivity or a known allergy, it is recommended to check the specific product label.
An elastic bandage provides flexible support and compression to manage swelling, while a rigid brace completely immobilizes the joint. The bandage is ideal for mild to moderate injuries or the rehabilitation phase.
