Rugged Superior Touch® A5 cut resistant gloves in Dyneema® composite with nitrile foam coating
The GS13FGFNT gloves from Superior Glove deliver excellent ASTM/ANSI A5 cut resistance while preserving a high level of comfort, excellent dexterity and a good grip on dry and wet objects. Their material combines the strength of composite fiber, the cut-resistant properties of Dyneema® and the durability of nylon, for a fine 13-gauge knit that is elastic, flexible and breathable. Coated with nitrile foam on the palm and fingers, they provide a non-slip grip even on wet or oily surfaces. Their ergonomic fit follows the natural curve of the fingers and helps reduce fatigue. Sold in pairs.
These gloves are available in sizes ranging from extra-small (6) to triple extra-large (12). Please select your size in the box above.
Superior Product Code: S13FGFNT
According to ASTM and ANSI standards, this glove has a cut resistance of level A5, a puncture resistance of level 4 and an abrasion resistance of level 4.
These gloves offer excellent cut resistance, a high level of comfort, excellent dexterity and a good grip on dry and wet objects. The material combines the strength of composite fiber, the cut-resistant properties of Dyneema® and the durability of nylon. The resulting fine knit is elastic, flexible and breathable. The ergonomic fit follows the natural curve of the fingers and hands and helps reduce fatigue.
Dyneema®, also called ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), is weight-for-weight 15 times stronger than steel and twice as strong as Kevlar®. It has the highest abrasion and impact resistance of all thermoplastic compounds, offers excellent chemical resistance, resists moisture well and, unlike Kevlar®, resists UV rays. It provides excellent protection against mechanical hazards such as friction, abrasion and elongation.
Nitrile foam has properties similar to ordinary nitrile, including its chemical resistance and good tactile sensitivity. Its rough, non-slip texture improves the grip on smooth objects and provides an excellent grip on wet or oily objects. Nitrile foam offers better protection than the similar latex foam.
These gloves are suited to handling sharp objects, processing industries, manufacturing and assembly, material handling and any job requiring high cut protection combined with good dexterity and a secure grip on wet objects.
The composite fiber and the nitrile foam are not designed to resist heat or flame. These gloves cannot entirely eliminate the risk of injuries and lacerations. The nitrile foam is porous, therefore permeable to liquids; furthermore, since the glove is only partially coated, it does not protect against liquids reaching the back of the hand.
They offer ASTM/ANSI A5 cut resistance, along with level 4 puncture resistance and level 4 abrasion resistance.
Weight-for-weight, Dyneema® is 15 times stronger than steel and twice as strong as Kevlar®; it resists abrasion, moisture and UV rays very well.
Yes. The rough-textured nitrile foam coating provides an excellent grip on smooth, wet or oily objects.
They are available from extra-small (6) to triple extra-large (12) and are sold in pairs.
No. The composite fiber and the nitrile foam have poor heat and flame resistance, and the nitrile foam is porous (permeable to liquids).
To complete your protection, see the impact-resistant TenActiv A5 glove with maximum shock protection (GSTXFNVB), the A9 knit glove with nitrile foam coating (GS21TXUFN), and the A2 composite glove with polyurethane coating (GS13TAGPU) for tactile tasks. For food handling, choose the A7 Sure Knit food glove (GS13SXB).
Under “Accessories” at the bottom of the page, complete your equipment with the A9 stainless steel chain-mesh glove (G100), the Dexterity NT cotton glove with nitrile coating (GS15NT), and protect your forearms with the level 2 Cutban sleeve (VSKPW14TH) or the level 3 Kevlar sleeve (VS21).
