This ultrasonic thickness gauge allows you to quickly and accurately measure the thickness of a wide variety of materials: steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, silica glass, polyethylene, PVC, gray cast iron, and spheroidal graphite cast iron. Thanks to its advanced ultrasonic technology and digital display, the device provides reliable readings without the risk of visual error.
Indispensable for industry, equipment maintenance, preventive inspections, and wear detection, it is an essential tool for ensuring the safety and compliance of metal structures and parts.
This gauge benefits from an exclusive microcomputer LSI circuit and a crystal time base, optimizing measurement accuracy. Its digital display simplifies reading and eliminates the risk of misinterpretation.
The device also displays the ultrasonic velocity at the touch of a button, allowing the setting to be automatically adjusted according to the material being evaluated.
Operating with wideband sensitivity, it is compatible with probes of multiple frequencies, offering essential versatility for different types of surfaces and densities.
This instrument is ideal for:
It allows you to quickly identify weakened areas and loss of thickness, and to ensure compliance with safety standards.
To ensure the longevity of the gauge:
Regular maintenance ensures measurement accuracy and extends the life of the device.
TM8811-PROBE: Replacement probe compatible with the ultrasonic thickness gauge.
This gauge is compatible with a wide variety of rigid materials: steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, silica glass, polyethylene, PVC, gray cast iron, and spheroidal graphite cast iron. It works on most metals and many engineering plastics, as long as the material transmits ultrasound correctly.
Yes. Ultrasonic coupling is essential to ensure optimal contact between the probe and the surface, allowing for proper transmission of the ultrasonic waves. Without coupling, the reading may be inaccurate or impossible. A 4 oz bottle of coupling is included with the device.
Yes. The device measures the total thickness of the material, which allows it to identify thinning due to corrosion, even if it is not visible from the outside. It is frequently used to inspect pipes, tanks, vessels, welded structures, and surfaces exposed to wear.
Automatic calibration is built in and is performed quickly depending on the material being measured. However, for critical measurements, it is recommended to use a reference sample or calibration plate.
This ensures optimal accuracy in demanding industrial environments.
Yes. The probe can be replaced if worn or damaged. The TM8811-PROBE model is available as a compatible replacement probe. A probe in good condition ensures better accuracy and consistent performance.
