This handy kit includes essential digital instruments for home and building inspections. The instruments measure temperature, humidity and distance in several ways, suitable for most situations and allowing an inspector to detect and locate water infiltration, heat leaks, missing insulation, wet lumber, and many other incidents.

This kit is a great complement to the R5006KIT electrical test kit, which includes 3 instruments to measure and troubleshoot common electrical problems on household electric circuits. Together, these two kits have all the necessary instruments for home inspectors, new home buyers and homeowners.

Measures and displays moisture content (% H2O) of wood directly in contact with the two electrodes.
Calibrated for accurate measurements at 20°C.

Includes 8 calibration tables, covering 150 common species of wood.

Non-invasively measures and displays moisture content (% H2O) in materials simply by being held in proximity.

(R8004) Laser distance meter (rangefinder):
Measures and displays distance (metric or imperial units) from a reference point or continuous measure.
Adds and subtracts distances. Calculates area and volume. Calculates 2-point or 3-point indirect distance using Pythagorean theorem.
Distance range: 0,05 m to 45 m (2" to 148 feet). Precision: ± 2 mm for distances under 10 m; ± 2 cm for distances over 10 m.

R2302 Infrared thermometer:
Measures and displays the temperature (°C ou °F) of the area indicated by the built-in laser pointer.
Emissivity fixed at 0.95. Ideal for measuring the temperature of non-metallic objects.
Distance to spot size ratio (optical resolution): 8:1. Optimum distance for temperature measurement is 8 times larger than the size of the measurement spot:
      1 cm spot: measure 8 cm away;
      10 cm spot: measure 80 cm away;
      1 foot spot: measure 8 feet away;
      etc.
