PIP Dynamic FPTAG-R tags are used to document the inspection of safety equipment and track its history. Each red plastic tag carries a unique serial number and a writable area for recording the date, initials or inspection result. Its galvanized steel shackle acts as a security locking device once the tag is attached to the equipment. Compact 1 X 2-1/4 in format, text printed in English only. Sold in packs of 25.
For a technician doing the monthly round of a building's fire extinguishers, the person in charge of fall protection equipment on a construction site, the eyewash station inspector in a laboratory or the storekeeper checking rescue equipment in a plant. The serial number links each piece of equipment to its inspection log. Since the text is English only, provide bilingual instructions if needed.
Store the pack in a dry place away from heat. Write with a pencil or marker that holds on plastic and let it dry before handling the tag. At each inspection, check that the tag is legible and the shackle is intact. Replace a tag that is illegible, broken or has a cut shackle, and record the new serial number.
Each pack contains 25 FPTAG-R tags.
No. The printed text is in English only.
Each tag carries a unique serial number that links the equipment to its inspection log.
The shackle is galvanized steel, and the tag is red plastic.
Each tag measures 1 X 2-1/4 in (width X height).
For an inspector applying these tags during monthly equipment checks, plan for 3M SecureFit SF202AF glasses (YASF202) and TenActiv composite gloves (GSTAFGFNT) coated with nitrile foam. The yellow Pioneer 6693 surveyor vest (V6693) with 16 pockets holds the tag pack, the Zenith 497 mask (R497) serves in dusty rooms and yellow Caution barricade tape (ECT3YE1) isolates equipment removed from service.
For lockout, pair these tags with the red aluminum American Lock padlock (CA1A-R) or the padlock with a 2 in shackle (CA1LH) and laminated steel body. The plastic do-not-operate tag (CAET4) signals stopped equipment, the multipurpose nylon cable lock (CACV2) and the double circuit breaker lockout (CAC2) complete isolation. The French-language equipment-locked-out DANGER (CAET6) tag adds a lockout notice to the equipment.
