The Markal Pro-Line Fine marker applies liquid paint in a 1/16 in (1.5 mm) fine line, handy for precise markings, part numbers and cut marks. Its plastic body measures 5-1/2 in (13.97 cm) long and 0.39 in (1 cm) in diameter. Its xylene-free paint marks steel and iron, textiles, plastic, glass, and pipes and tubes, so the same marker can be used in the shop and on the job site. It is available in yellow (096872), which stands out on dark surfaces, or in black (096873) for light surfaces. Made in Germany, it is sold individually.
For a fitter numbering steel parts in a structural steel shop, a plumber marking pipe lengths on a job site, a welder drawing reference marks before assembly or a storekeeper identifying plastic bins. Yellow stands out on raw steel and dark surfaces, black on light surfaces.
Close the marker after each use to keep the tip from drying out, and store it away from heat. Clean the surface to be marked to remove oil and dust. Before marking a finished part, test on a scrap of the same material. Replace the marker when the line becomes uneven or faint.
The marker draws a fine 1/16 in line, equivalent to 1.5 mm.
It marks steel and iron, textiles, plastic, glass, and pipes and tubes.

For a structural fitter numbering steel parts with this marker, plan for Uvex Genesis glasses (YAU3202) with an amber polycarbonate lens and ultra-thin TenActiv gloves (GS21TX) to use alone or as liners. The valved 8214 welding mask (R8214) and the red polyurethane-coated Oxford polyester surveyor vest (V695) complete the equipment, while the warning line (EFLAC) with built-in flags marks off the assembly area.
For packing and shipping, natural nylon Aurora Tools cable ties (SAETT4) bundle marked parts, 2 in clear adhesive tape (SAE1) seals boxes and directional arrow (ERFLECHE) labels indicate which way to handle the parcel. The FRAGILE (ERFRAGILE) label flags delicate shipments, the retractable-blade safety knife (SAEC5) opens packaging and the blue Kleton stackable bin (CF830) holds markers at the bench.
