The Pioneer® "The Rock" model 5629W waterproof pants, in high-visibility yellow, are specially designed for the female figure. At Sylprotec, women's safety matters: these pants protect them from rain and traffic without compromising comfort. Made of 100% polyester woven in an oxford pattern with 300-denier yarns coated with polyurethane, they comply with the ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 class 3 type R and CSA Z96-22 class 2 level 2 standards (class 3 when worn with the matching VP5628F jacket). Available in sizes from extra-small (XS) to quadruple extra-large (4XL) via the drop-down menu above. Pioneer® manufacturer code: V1081660, model 5629W. Also available in orange (VP5627F).
Feminine design of The Rock pants with elastic waist
Designed for active women, these pants offer superior tear- and abrasion-resistant properties. They feature an elastic waist for optimal comfort, reflective leg stripes and two snaps at the hems that make it easy to slip the legs into work or winter boots. Their seams are taped and heat-sealed for maximum waterproofing. These pants are not flame-resistant.
Oxford 300D polyurethane waterproofing of the Pioneer pants
The polyurethane-laminated polyester oxford pants are made with 300-denier yarns, giving them a medium weight: light enough for comfort, sturdy enough for adequate protection. The manufacturer does not disclose the exact hydrostatic resistance; compared with similar products, it is estimated at around 5000 mm, i.e. resistance to a 5 m water column. During torrential rain with strong winds, polyurethane may become saturated and lose its waterproofing.
ANSI 107 and CSA Z96 high-visibility classification of the women's yellow pants
CSA Z96-22 class 2 level 2: high-visibility safety garment for women workers operating near road traffic with a maximum speed of 80 km/h (low to moderate risk). Worn with the complementary VP5628F jacket, the set reaches class 3 level 2, extending compliance in the presence of faster vehicles.
ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 class 3 type R: American standard for workers on roads or near moving vehicles and equipment. High-visibility safety garments feature reflective stripes visible from over 250 metres.
Visibility of fluorescent yellow and silver stripes
Fluorescent yellow (safety lime-green) is highly visible in daylight and in low natural light (dawn, dusk), offering high contrast against the background. Paler than orange, it is slightly more visible at night, though not as visible as the reflective stripes in darkness. The silver retroreflective stripes return light toward its source (flashlight, vehicle headlights, etc.) and provide maximum safety at dawn, dusk and at night, without increasing visibility in full daylight.
