The Manual Resuscitator with Self-Inflating Bag (PS853) is a critical medical device designed to provide artificial ventilation to victims who are not breathing or are breathing inadequately. Unlike mouth-to-mask resuscitation, this manual system allows for the delivery of ambient air or pure oxygen without requiring pulmonary effort from the rescuer.
No returnable if used. For more information about our return policy, please refer to the Orders and Returns.
Designed to provide effective and controlled ventilation, this resuscitator mask is ideal for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers. The self-inflating bag allows for quick and easy operation, ensuring optimal ventilation with minimal effort. The included hand pump allows for pressure regulation, ensuring ventilation is tailored to the patient’s needs. The attachment hose offers maximum flexibility for easy use in various situations.
Ideal for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) during first aid.
Lightweight and portable, this system allows us to administer artificial ventilation with only one hand by pushing on the pump. It may be used with or without an oxygen tank. A safety valve helps prevent over-inflation. The included patient connector tube allows to connect the mask to most artificial ventilation devices.
Because it combines efficiency, practicality, and safety. With this mask, you can be confident in providing quality respiratory assistance, even in emergencies. Don't leave anything to chance to equip yourself with this essential resuscitator mask to be ready to save lives at any time.
Add it to your first aid equipment today and be assured of being prepared for all emergency situations.
This system is preferred by first responders and healthcare professionals for several reasons:
High-Concentration Ventilation: Equipped with an oxygen reservoir and attachment tubing, it can deliver oxygen concentrations up to 100%.
Self-Inflating Bag: The bag's texture allows for rapid recovery of its shape after each compression, ensuring a fluid and consistent ventilation cycle.
Non-Rebreathing Valve: A high-performance one-way valve prevents the victim from re-inhaling exhaled air, directing it safely away from the patient.
Ergonomic Design: The transparent mask allows for monitoring the victim's lip color and detecting potential obstructions (such as vomit).
Latex-Free: Manufactured with hypoallergenic materials to prevent allergic reactions in either the patient or the rescuer.
1 Self-inflating bag (Adult/Child size depending on settings).
1 Transparent face mask with an inflatable cushion for a perfect airtight seal.
1 Oxygen reservoir bag.
1 Oxygen tubing (attachment hose) for connection to a flow meter.
Positioning: Stand at the head of the victim. Apply the mask to the face using the "C-E" technique (thumb and index finger form a "C" to press the mask down, while the other fingers form an "E" to lift the jaw).
Sealing: Ensure the mask hermetically covers both the nose and the mouth.
Ventilation: Squeeze the bag with one hand steadily to make the victim's chest rise.
Frequency: Administer one ventilation every 5 to 6 seconds for an adult (approximately 10 to 12 ventilations per minute).
Oxygen: If available, connect the tubing to an oxygen source set at 15 Liters/minute.
Yes. Using a Bag Valve Mask (BVM) requires advanced resuscitation or specialized first aid training, as improper technique can cause gastric distension.
Yes, this model is designed for single-use (disposable) to eliminate risks of cross-contamination and the costs associated with complex autoclave sterilization.
The PS853 model is generally an Adult/Child format. For infants, it is imperative to use a smaller volume bag equipped with a pressure-relief (pop-off) valve to protect their fragile lungs.
Teamwork: BVM ventilation is most effective with two rescuers: one maintains the mask seal with two hands while the other squeezes the bag.
Maintenance: Regularly check the bag for cracks and ensure the mask cushion is still properly inflated within your trauma kit.
