These Superior Touch® gloves are made of gray 13-gauge nylon knit with polyurethane coating on the palms and fingers. The base text states that they are sold by pack of 12 pairs, approved for food handling by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), and suitable for work where dexterity, tactile sensitivity, cleanliness of handled parts and good grip are important.
Superior manufacturer code: S13GPU. These gloves are available in sizes ranging from extra-small (6) to double extra-large (11). Please select the size needed in the field located above before adding these gloves to your cart.
This glove has a puncture resistance level 2 according to ASTM and ANSI standards. It is also approved for food handling by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
This glove meets EN388 standards for protection against mechanical hazards. This level of protection is expressed by the 4121 rating, where abrasion resistance is 4/4, cut resistance is 1/5, tear resistance is 2/4 and puncture resistance is 1/4.
This nylon knit glove is so finely woven that it has almost no effect on the sense of touch, which is useful for workers who need to keep tactile sensitivity. Nylon also does not lint and polyurethane does not flake, which means low particulate shedding on handled parts.
Nylon exhibits good mechanical, electrical and chemical properties. It is highly wear-resistant, mostly to friction, does not strain the hand easily and resists heat well, but not open flame. Nylon has little to no absorbent quality, which is ideal if you want to keep your hands dry while working.
Polyurethane is a polymer composed of organic units joined by urethane, giving it good chemical and mechanical properties. This material has great resilience, is not known to distort itself and is abrasion-resistant, cut-resistant and tear-resistant. It resists various chemicals, UV light and liquids since it absorbs nothing whatsoever.
PU also offers excellent grip, good touch sensitivity and good dexterity, making this glove useful for fine handling and precision tasks.
This glove is recommended for the car industry, maintenance, aerospace industry, electronics industry, small parts handling, cleanroom assembly and environments where low particulate shedding on handled products is important.
Polyurethane offers little to no resistance to heat and, since the glove is partially coated, it is not recommended to submerge it in liquids.
It is recommended to carry out basic maintenance to extend the service life of your gloves. Simply wash them with cold water, that is 85 °F / 30 °C, and a mild detergent. You can then dry them at low temperature in a dryer. Never use bleach on this glove.
