The Kleton plate caster carries a 5 in (127 mm) polyolefin wheel with a 1-1/4 in tread on a steel rig. It is offered as a rigid (ML396) or swivel (ML395) version, with the same wheel, the same plate and the same 250 lb (113 kg) capacity per caster. The 2-5/8 X 3-3/4 in plate has 5/16 in bolt holes on a 2-3/4 X 1-3/4 in spacing, and the overall height is 6-1/8 in. The wheel is non-marking, steam cleanable, offers high impact strength and resists most oils, chemicals, grease and acids. It rolls on concrete, brick, carpet and steel. Made in China, it is sold individually and covered by a 1-year limited warranty.
The manufacturer intends these casters for food service equipment, mobile warehouse equipment, plants and demanding environments. They roll on concrete, brick, carpet and steel. To make equipment easy to steer, swivel and rigid casters are often combined.
Clean with soapy water or steam. Periodically check that the plate bolts are tight and remove debris wrapped around the axle. Do not exceed 250 lb per caster.
250 lb (113 kg) per caster, in both the rigid and the swivel version.
The ML396 is rigid and the ML395 is a swivel caster; the wheel, the plate and the capacity are identical.
2-5/8 X 3-3/4 in, with 5/16 in bolt holes on a 2-3/4 X 1-3/4 in spacing. Overall height is 6-1/8 in.
On concrete, brick, carpet and steel; the wheel is non-marking.
No. That truck uses 6 in high-temperature nylon casters; these 5 in polyolefin casters are not its replacement casters.
For the maintenance worker replacing the casters on an industrial kitchen cart, plan for a Pioneer black surveyor vest (V6692N) with 16 pockets, ultra-thin high-visibility TenActiv gloves (GS21TXUGFN) to tighten the plate bolts, Cee-Tec economy safety glasses (YA12E93102) with grey lenses, a 3M Optime 95 behind-the-head earmuff (OPH6B) near noisy appliances and Pioneer orange waterproof overalls (VP5627) for steam cleaning.
To move loads without mounting casters, see the ready-to-roll Kleton platform truck (CHAENT) or Kleton shelf cart (CHENT2). For other replacement needs, the Kleton spring-loaded swivel caster (EMA90) is made for rolling step stands and the Rubbermaid quiet caster (MP381) for WaveBrake mop buckets. During the repair, flag the out-of-service equipment with a red and white striped adhesive tape (ECT750R).
