This heavy-duty outdoor bin keeps a supply of salt, sand or ice melter near the accesses of schools, parks, subway stations, bus terminals and any public or private walkway. Its thick-walled polyethylene construction is weather resistant and corrosion free. The double-walled lid is reinforced and its hinges are reinforced with a rod. Molded forklift channels and recessed hand holes make handling easier. All year round, it also stores garden supplies, animal feed, fertilizer, sporting goods or pool supplies.

Installing and caring for the bin

Install the bin on a level surface, near the accesses to be de-iced, without obstructing traffic or mechanical snow removal. Fill it without exceeding its weight capacity: 500 lb for the 5.5 cu ft, 750 lb for the 10 cu ft. Keep the lid closed to protect the contents from snow and rain. To move it, use the recessed hand holes when empty, or a forklift and its molded channels. Rinse it in spring before using it for storage.
