Amerex portable fire extinguishers with sodium chloride. 30 lbs.  Type D, for sodium, potassium or magnesium fires, with wall hook.

Recommended for type D fires (flammable metals). The D570 model allows for safe use on magnesium shavings fires, on fires of sodium or potassium spills of more than 1.13 cm (1/2 in) thickness, and even on mixed fires of sodium and potassium. There is data
showing that zirconium, uranium, titanium, and powdered aluminum fires can be controlled and extinguished with this unique extinguisher.

This model is secure and easy to use, due to its cone that allows for an efficient application of the extinguishing powder and to its illustrated, easy to understand instructions. The extinguishing agent forms a crust over the fire, smothering it.

Extinguishing agent : sodium chloride. Pressurized with argon. Steel body with weatherproof polyester enameled finish.

Discharges the extinguishing agent at 3 - 6 ft (0.9 - 1.8 m) for 28 secondes.
Operating temperatures: -40°C to +48.9°C (-40°F to +120°F) allowing for all-weather use.

Not recommended for fires of type A (wood, paper, fabric), type B (flammable liquids), type C (electrical fires) or class K  (cooking fats and oils).

If you have already purchased this extinguisher and need to replace its support hook, we suggest the CFL15 wall hook. Due to the weight of this extinguisher, we recommend the use of the cart (EXCAD) to ensure quick movement to the fire scene.
