Cardboard Monthly Inspection Tag – 1-Year Validity
Ensure the regulatory tracking of your safety equipment. This cardboard monthly inspection tag is the classic and economical solution for documenting the checks of your portable fire extinguishers. Designed for a one-year duration, it provides a simple and clear way to manage your building's internal maintenance schedule.
Each tag covers 1 year of monthly inspections (12 months). The tags are labelled in French (“Do not remove” and “Monthly report tag”). The monthly chart has columns for marking the inspection month, the extinguisher’s condition and the inspector’s initials. It is recommended to use the IPTAB metal tag ties to ensure this tag is secured to the extinguisher.
The top of the tags is reinforced by a double layer of cardstock, for better resistance to regular wear and tear.

Cardboard is more sensitive to moisture than plastic. For extinguishers located outdoors or in very humid environments, we recommend the yellow plastic version (item EXT-INSP-F). If using the cardboard version outside, it is best to place it in a clear protective sleeve.
How do I attach the tag securely?
The tag features a reinforced or pre-punched hole. It attaches to the extinguisher handle or valve using a plastic security seal or a wire tie.
What is the difference between this tag and the one from the maintenance company?
This tag is intended for the monthly visual inspection performed by your own staff (owner or safety officer). It is distinct from the mandatory annual maintenance tag that must be applied by a certified NFPA-10 technician.
