Limitations and safe use
- NIOSH approved with 3M Secure Click facepieces. Do not use in atmospheres immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) or in oxygen-deficient atmospheres.
- Establish a cartridge change schedule and replace the cartridges no later than when the odour or taste of the contaminant is detected.
- Nuisance levels: concentrations that do not exceed the OSHA permissible exposure limit (PEL) or the lowest applicable exposure limit. This relief is a 3M recommendation, without NIOSH approval for these gases and vapours.
- Use within a respiratory protection program that meets CSA Z94.4; read the 3M user instructions before use.
Filter replacement
Replace the filters when they are damaged, soiled or when breathing becomes difficult. Always replace both filters at the same time.
