ANSI/ISEA 105 compliance

Superior Glove publishes for this model an ANSI A3 cut level and a level 4 puncture rating under ANSI/ISEA 105. Cut protection covers the whole hand, over 360°. Abrasion, tear and needlestick resistance are not rated for this model.

TenActiv™ yarn properties

TenActiv™ is Superior Glove's engineered yarn: a composite fibre designed for cut resistance. Knitted in 13 gauge, it protects the palm, fingers and back of the hand at ANSI A3 while staying flexible. The glove is cold-rated down to -5°C (23°F), which makes it a glove for cool temperatures rather than for extreme cold.

Crinkle latex coating properties

Only the palm is coated with crinkle-finish latex; the back of the hand stays uncoated knit. The coating's wrinkled surface channels water away and keeps a steady grip on wet or slush-covered objects, and the latex stays flexible to grasp tools and parts.

Applications of cold-rated cut-resistant gloves

Superior Glove recommends these gloves for maintenance, material handling, site clean-up and utilities maintenance, in construction, mining and utilities. The manufacturer lists them as high-visibility gloves: their bright orange helps spot the worker's hands in low-light environments. This is a manufacturer feature, not a CSA or ANSI high-visibility class. For a higher cut level, see the Zenith A4 cut-resistant winter gloves (GZHA4).

Glove use restrictions

The palm is latex-coated: choose another glove in case of latex allergy. For cold below -5°C, plan for an insulated extreme cold glove.

Glove care and service life

Wash the gloves in cold water and tumble dry on low heat. The manufacturer permits bleach or detergent. Replace them when the knit is cut or holed, or the latex cracks or peels.
