Superior manufacturer’s code: S13SXGPU
These gloves are available in sizes from extra-small (6) to triple extra-large (12). Please select the size from the drop-down menu above.
Compliance:
According to ASTM and ANSI standards, these gloves are rated level 3 for puncture resistance and level A2 for cut resistance.
This glove is also approved for food handling by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
GS13SXGPU features:
This glove offers an unparalleled cut protection while still providing high dexterity and flexibility. Dyneema is a non-linting material and polyurethane doesn’t flake, which makes for low particulate shedding on handled parts. This glove also offers a good grip on dry surfaces and an average grip on wet surfaces.
Dyneema properties:
Dyneema, also called ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWP), is at equal weight 15 times more resistant to abrasion than steel, and twice as resistant as Kevlar. Dyneema is by far the best material for protection from abrasion and impact of all the thermoplastic compounds. It offers an excellent chemical resistance, resists well to moisture and, unlike Kevlar, resists to UV light. Dyneema also offers outstanding protection against mechanical risks such as wearing, abrasion and elongation.
Polyurethane properties:
Polyurethane (PU) is a polymer composed of organic units joined by urethane links, which gives it good chemical and mechanical properties. This material has great resilience, does not distort, and is resistant to abrasion, cuts and tears. It resists to various chemicals, UV light and liquids, since it is non absorbent. Polyurethane also offers good grip and excellent touch sensitivity and dexterity.
Recommended for:
This glove is recommended for workers that deal with sharp steel and circuit boards, and for the glass industry, the automotive industry and food handling.
Do not use for:
Polyurethane offers little to no resistance to heat. Since the gloves are only partially coated, it is not recommended to submerge them in liquids.
Maintenance and service life:
It is recommended to carry out a basic maintenance to extend the service life of the gloves. Simply wash them with lukewarm water (140°F/60°C) and a regular detergent. Rinse your glove with cold water. Dry them at low temperature in a dryer. If needed, these glove can be bleached.
These gloves are also available in all-white: see item GS13SXPU.
