These gloves have been tested according to the European anti-vibration glove standard EN ISO 10819:1996. They are also rated Level 4 for puncture resistance according to ASTM and ANSI standards.

Features of the half-finger anti-vibration glove with polymer padding

These anti-vibration gloves have white goatskin palms and blue stretch-nylon backs. Under the palms, a padding layer of vibration-dampening polymer absorbs vibrations and dissipates their effects, which prevents hand fatigue and micro-injuries to the hands, wrists, arms and shoulders. They are equipped with 2.5" adjustable padded wrist straps with Velcro®, for a comfortable fit for each worker. The half-finger style provides better dexterity and tactile sensitivity, without affecting vibration reduction efficiency.

Goatskin properties for dexterity and durability

Goatskin (also called goat-grain leather) is thin, light, flexible, wind-proof and very resistant to wear and tear. It is commonly used to manufacture safety gloves because it offers great protection and flexibility at a good price. Goatskin is more hard-wearing than other leathers due to its high inherent lanolin content; lanolin acts as a natural leather softener and provides better dexterity and a pleasing tactile finish.

Stretch nylon properties for comfort

Nylon has good all-around mechanical, electrical and chemical resistance. It withstands wear and tear, is especially resistant to abrasion and provides good insulation against heat. Stretch nylon helps reduce hand fatigue, and nylon is not absorbent, which makes it a good glove material for hands that need to stay dry.

Applications of the anti-vibration glove with hand and pneumatic tools

These gloves protect against abrasion, punctures, impacts and vibrations. They are recommended for workers who operate hand tools, power tools or compressed air tools, such as hammers, chipping hammers, hammer drills, sanders, jackhammers, riveting tools, chainsaws and grinders.

Restrictions of the Vibrastop™ anti-vibration glove

Nylon is flammable and does not resist exposure to open flames. While these gloves help protect against mechanical hazards, no glove can fully protect against all types of injuries. These gloves are designed to absorb and dampen impacts and vibrations, but cannot fully prevent occupational injuries such as hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS).

Maintenance and service life of the goatskin glove

It is not recommended to wash these gloves. Soap and water remove the leather’s natural oils, which makes it stiff and brittle. If these gloves are used in conditions that require washing, we recommend dry cleaning only.
