Certified ANSI Z358.1-2009. The emergency shower has a minimum flow exceeding 20 GPM (76 L/min). The eye/face wash has a minimum flow exceeding 3.0 GPM (11.4 L/min). This emergency shower combo does not include a device for controlling water temperature.

Ideal for laboratories, medical facilities, industries, workshops, garages, airports, food processing plants, paper mills, and any other places where workers risk being exposed to dust, particulates, and/or hazardous, irritating or corrosive materials.

This emergency shower and eye/face wash combo is floor-mounted. The emergency shower has a single-step activation simply by pulling on the triangular handle. Once activated, the emergency shower will stay on until manually turned off. The eye/face wash station is just as easy to activate by pushing on the large handle. The hinged dust cover tilts open at the same time as the handle moves. Like the emergency shower, the eye/face wash station stays on until manually turned off, allowing the victim to use their hands to keep their eyes open when rinsing them.

The emergency shower has separate pipes for water intake and for the drain, and there is no risk of water accumulating in the drain pipe. The emergency shower has a yellow ABS plastic showerhead that imparts a spiralling motion to the water jet, allowing an even flow of water over a larger area. The bowl of the eye/face wash station is made of impact-resistant yellow plastic. Its sprayheads have an unique elongated design, with multiple water jets, that covers more area than traditional face wash sprayheads and facilitates face rinsing. These sprayheads are also equipped with strainers to filter water particulates, and with an antimicrobial protection. A translucent yellow plastic dust cover protects the sprayheads from dust and dirt. Pipes are made of galvanized steel protected by yellow Bradtec covering.

The package includes:

• Parts necessary for the installation of the emergency shower and eyewash station and the connection to a water supply (some parts are not supplied, see instructions)

The manufacturer recommends the installation of a thermostatic valve in order to comply with ANSI Z358.1-2009 standards. A thermostatic valve keeps rinsing water at a lukewarm temperature. Rinsing water should not be too cold (for more comfort while rinsing for the minimum required rinsing time of 15 minutes) nor too hot (to avoid aggravating eye or face injuries and to avoid scalding).

We would also like to remind our customers that the emergency shower must not be used to rinse eyes, since the water flow is too strong and may aggravate eye injuries.
