GS13DGSTL peculiarities:
SureKnit™ series gloves are made of a high-tenacity Dyneema® composite fiber which is on an equal-weight basis, more resistant than steel, thus it doesn’t lint. This comfortable and lightweight glove does not hamper dexterity and protects outstandingly from cuts and abrasion. The foam nitrile coating provides an excellent grip both on wet and slippery surfaces and even allows one to handle his or her touchscreen devices. This glove has moreover undergone the AlphaSan® treatment – a silver-based antimicrobial agent that prevents and impedes bacterial growth, which makes this glove ideal for the food industry.
Dyneema properties:
Dyneema, that is ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWP), is at equal weighting 15 times more resistant to abrasion than steel, and twice as resistant as Kevlar. Dyneema is by far the best material for protection from abrasion and impact of all the thermoplastic compounds. It offers an excellent chemical resistance, and resist well to moisture and unlike Kevlar, resist to UV light. Of course, Dyneema also offers an outstanding protection against mechanical risks such as wearing, abrasion and elongation.
Use for:
This glove is recommended for workers dealing with meat processing, food and beverage as well as handling sharp materials or manufacturing solar panel.
Do not use for:
Dyneema has little to no resistance to heat. This glove offers no sure protection against cuts, wear, tear and puncture so mechanical risks should not be overlooked. This glove is of course not coated, thus it is strongly recommended to not immerse it in liquids.
Maintenance and service life:
It is recommended to carry out a basic maintenance to extend the service life of your gloves. Simply wash them with cold water, that is, 85°F/30°C, and a mild detergent. It is also recommended to rinse your glove with cold water after wash. You can then dry them at low temperature in a dryer. Never use bleach on this glove.
