The disposable 3M 8210V mask is a N95-type respirator, recognized for its ability to filter at least 95% of airborne particles. Its integrated exhalation valve reduces heat and moisture build up inside the mask, making it more comfortable for extended use. This mask meets the requirements of NIOSH standard 42 CFR 84.

This respiratory protection mask features a patented electrostatic filter. With N95 certification, it captures airborne particles with 95% efficiency. The letter “N” stands for “non-resistant,” indicating that the filtration membrane does not resist oily particles but protects against solid, liquid, and biological particles suspended in the air.

 This mask is designed for long-duration tasks where the worker is exposed to hot and humid conditions. It is ideal for grinding, sanding, and other dusty operations. It is also effective against solid particles released during mineral processing, iron ore, coal, flour, pollen, and other substances. It also protects against liquid particles from non-oily aerosols that do not emit harmful vapors. NIOSH-approved masks (N95, N100, R95, R100, P95, and P100) offer sufficient protection against silica, the second leading cause of chronic respiratory problems after asbestos.

This respirator is recommended for workers involved in metal casting, as it protects against certain metallic vapors from welding, brazing, cutting, and other heat-related metal activities. However, this respirator does not protect against ozone.

Restrictions of the 3M 8210V Mask With Valve

Do not use if the user has facial hair or a condition that prevents direct contact between the mask edge and the face. Do not use if you suffer from a respiratory illness such as asthma or emphysema. This mask is not recommended for handling spray paint, oil-based aerosols, gases, vapors, asbestos, particles released during sandblasting, or aerosol concentrations exceeding 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by CNESST or other applicable regulations. This respirator should only be used in areas that do not present an oxygen deficiency risk.

When the mask is properly fitted and a qualitative fit test is passed, this respirator meets ANSI Z92.2-1992 standards, offering a protection factor of 10.
