The 8210 model has no valve and is suitable for sterile environments. The 8210V model includes an exhalation valve for increased respiratory comfort but may be unsuitable for medical settings.
The 3M Model 8210 Respirator Mask is NIOSH N95 certified under standard 42 CFR 84. It is designed to effectively filter airborne particles, whether solid or non-oil-based liquid. This disposable mask features an electrostatic filter that facilitates breathing while providing an effective barrier against contaminants. Lightweight and comfortable, it is sold in boxes of 20 units, ideal for professionals exposed to dusty or biologically risky environments. Compliant with NIOSH standards, this N95 mask offers reliable respiratory protection against fine and biological particles. The straps are welded, and the nose area features a foam-covered adjustable clip for better sealing without compromising comfort. This respirator contains no natural rubber latex. Made in the USA.
Provides basic protection for workers. Compatible with safety glasses.
This respirator mask stands out for its classic design without a valve, making it suitable for sterile environments. It includes elastic straps attached to the mask, an adjustable nose clip, and a foam cushion to improve sealing and comfort. Its pre-molded shape allows for a quick and stable facial fit.
This mask is designed for short-duration tasks in comfortable temperature conditions. It is ideal for workers involved in grinding, sanding, and other dusty operations. It is also effective against solid particles released during the processing of minerals, iron ore, coal, flour, or other substances. It protects against liquid particles from non-oil-based aerosols that do not emit harmful vapors. NIOSH-approved masks (N95, N100, R95, R100, P95, and P100) offer sufficient protection against silica, the second leading cause of chronic respiratory problems after asbestos.
This respirator helps reduce inhalation exposure to certain airborne biological particles, such as mold, Bacillus anthracis (anthrax), Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Koch’s bacillus, responsible for tuberculosis), and pandemic flu viruses (H5N1, H1N1), among others. It is the most widely used respiratory protection mask during pandemics. However, it cannot completely eliminate the risk of infection, illness, or disease. Combined with hygiene and protective measures, this respirator is an effective tool to reduce the spread of infectious diseases. Government agencies have not been able to determine exposure limits for certain biological contaminants due to their nature.
To properly install the 3M Model 8210 mask, place it over the nose and mouth, then adjust the straps behind the head. Shape the nose clip to fit the nose and ensure a good seal. Check that the mask is properly fitted by gently inhaling and exhaling: it should press against the face without leaks.
This product is disposable and requires no maintenance. It is designed with an estimated lifespan of 8 hours. This figure is for informational purposes only and should not be the sole indicator of mask longevity. Since each work environment is different, it is important to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.
The N95 Model 8210 mask is recommended for dusty environments, grinding, sanding, or mineral processing operations. It is also effective against certain biological particles such as mold or viruses. This mask is not suitable for organic vapors, toxic gases, or oxygen-deficient environments. It is not recommended for individuals with facial hair or chronic respiratory conditions.
Do not use if the wearer has facial hair or a condition that prevents direct contact between the mask edge and the face. Do not use if you suffer from respiratory illnesses such as asthma or emphysema. This mask is not recommended for handling spray paint, oil-based aerosols, gases, vapors, asbestos, particles released during sandblasting, or aerosol concentrations exceeding 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by CNESST or other applicable government regulations. This respirator should only be used in areas without oxygen deficiency risks.
When properly fitted and the qualitative fit test is successful, this respirator meets ANSI Z92.2-1992 standards, offering a protection factor of 10. The wearer may be exposed to certain airborne contaminants up to a maximum of 10 times the established exposure limit. Contact our customer service for further details if needed.
