The grey DuPont Tychem 6000 TF169TGYMD000600 coverall combines a barrier film laminated to Tyvek with taped seams. Its respirator-fit hood, elastic wrists and attached socks provide garment features to assess according to workplace chemical exposure. The closure combines a semi-automatic locking zipper with a double storm flap and adhesive tape. This latex-free model is offered in size M and sold individually. Selection for an operation depends on the substances involved and the conditions of contact.
Assess for chemical transfers in a plant, process equipment maintenance and selected handling operations in an industrial laboratory. The fabric has a barrier result of at least 30 minutes against more than 180 chemicals. This result does not establish a universal wearing time: check suitability for each substance, its concentration and the operating conditions.
Before use, inspect the garment, seams, attached socks and closure. Store unused coveralls clean and dry. After an operation, remove the garment according to the workplace doffing procedure. Do not wash this disposable garment for reuse and discard it according to the contamination encountered.
For size selection, size M fits a chest of 34-3/4 to 38-1/4 in and a height of 63 to 67 in. The 28-1/2 in inseam is a finished garment dimension for size M, not a wearer measurement.
No. It is the fabric barrier result against more than 180 chemicals. The substance, its concentration and contact conditions determine garment selection and operation duration.
No. The attached socks are part of the coverall. Select work footwear and foot protection suited to the operation separately.
The stated standards are ASTM F1670 and ASTM F1671. Select the protective ensemble according to the hazard and the applicable work procedure.
It is sold individually: one unit corresponds to one size M coverall. The manufacturer packs six per case.
For a process technician putting on this coverall before an operation, plan for Centurion 454 splash goggles (YG454) after checking suitability for the substances involved. For preliminary mechanical handling, cut- and impact-resistant Endura Pro gloves (G378GKGVBE) can complement the station. A 3M 8293 mask (R8293) with a Cool Flow valve selected for particles, an Independence helmet (TA14LR) with ratchet suspension and yellow Danger tape (ECT3YE7) address other hazards requiring separate assessment.
For operations with different clothing requirements, compare the ProShield (V52) 10 reserved for dirt and non-hazardous dry particles, or the snap-front Ronco coat (V105-L). The pull-on Tyvek (V55193) 400 hood, blue disposable balaclava (VF1885) and white shoe-covers (VC1992) in non-slip microporous material offer other choices for organizing work areas. Their selection must remain specific to the task without extending Tychem properties to those accessories.
