The Peakpro Peakworks safety harness is a premium full-body class A and P harness designed for fall arrest and work positioning. It is equipped with 3 D-rings: 1 steel dorsal D-ring (class A, fall arrest) and 2 lateral D-rings at the hips (class P, positioning). The chest and thigh straps close with Quick-Connect buckles, easy to fasten even when wearing gloves. This harness is ideal for general work at heights, such as maintenance or construction, that requires comfortable and reliable fall protection.
Peakworks product code: V8006110 or model FBH-60110B. Meets ANSI Z359.11-2014 and CSA Z259.10-12 requirements. This harness can support a worker weighing up to 400 lb (181.4 kg), including clothing, tools and equipment.
A key advantage of this model: it includes trauma straps that let a fallen worker stand up while awaiting rescue, reducing the risk of suspension-related loss of consciousness. At the base of the dorsal D-ring, a pad increases comfort and prevents the straps from tangling. The harness also features a fall indicator that makes inspection easier.
The straps of this harness are made of high-visibility polyester, a material that offers better resistance to acidic chemicals. The straps are padded at the shoulders, back and legs for added comfort, and have distinct colors for easy donning. The harness offers 5 adjustment points (2 on the legs, 2 on the torso and 1 on the chest) as well as a sub-pelvic strap. The identification and certification labels are sewn onto the rear strap, on the left side.
This vest-style harness combines superior comfort, enhanced safety and durability for workers exposed to fall hazards every day.
The worker is responsible for performing a routine inspection before each use. The worker must note any sign of degradation, wear, malfunction or breakage, and replace the harness at the first sign of failure. The built-in fall indicator makes this check easier.
This harness should also be inspected periodically by a qualified person other than the worker. The frequency varies by manufacturer (from every 90 days to yearly) and should increase in harsh conditions. The recommended lifetime of a harness is 5 years. Any equipment that has withstood a fall or an impact must be taken out of service. Sylprotec offers a harness inspection service; to learn more, see the Services tab.
For cleaning, use a mild soap and lukewarm water (37 °C). Do not use bleach or abrasive or chemical products. If your harness is too dirty or contaminated, it is time to replace it. Air dry, without excessive heat, in a clean environment. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and to any source of contamination.
They are straps the worker deploys after a fall to relieve pressure on the thighs and stand up, reducing the risk of suspension trauma while awaiting rescue.
Quick-Connect buckles clip and unclip quickly, which speeds up donning compared with interlocking buckles, even when wearing work gloves.
It supports a worker with a total weight of 400 lb (181.4 kg), including clothing, tools and equipment.
To complete your fall protection, also consider a self-locking carabiner (FPAM86), an anchorage sling (FPAE), a concrete connector (FPAF075N), a positioning rope (FPAC815), a scaffold chain (FPAM90), a mandatory-use sign (ECO130), a storage bag (FPBAG) and a tool strap (FPLA9900).
