Inspect before each use: check for cuts, fraying, broken stitching and deformed hardware. Inspection by a qualified person is required at least annually. Recommended service life: 5 years with regular use. Any harness subjected to a fall must be removed from service and destroyed immediately. Sylprotec offers annual inspection by a qualified technician.
Clean with mild soap and lukewarm water (max 37 C / 98.6 F). Never use bleach, solvents or abrasive products. Air dry away from direct sunlight. Store hanging in a clean, dry location away from chemicals and heat sources.
Class AELP is the most complete configuration: it combines four functions: fall Arrest (dorsal D-ring), confined space Extraction and rescue (shoulder D-rings), Ladder climbing / limited access (sternal D-ring) and work Positioning (hip D-rings). A single harness therefore covers fall arrest, vertical retrieval, guided climbing and work positioning, ideal for rescue teams and multi-hazard job sites.
Each D-ring has a specific function and must never be used outside its intended purpose. The dorsal ring is for fall arrest, the shoulder rings for confined space extraction or rescue with a retrieval device, the sternal ring for guided ascent and the hip rings for positioning. Use the ring matching the current task; shoulder and hip rings are never used for fall arrest. Always consult the manufacturer's instructions and applicable regulations.
This model is made to order by 3M and is not kept in regular stock. Allow approximately 1 month from the order date. For an urgent need, contact Sylprotec: we can check availability and suggest an equivalent in-stock harness when possible.
To complete your fall protection system, add a leading-edge SRL retractable (FPLR75105-6LE) or an energy-absorbing lanyard (FPL1340180C) as your fall arrest connection. Protect the head with a Peak T2 helmet with integrated chin strap (TA222), the eyes with safety glasses (YASF401BG) and hearing with earplugs (OA101). For the job, add suitable gloves (G378GKGVBE) and a flame-resistant garment (V7705).
