The 3M DBI-SALA ExoFit X200 Class AP harness (fall arrest and positioning) is built for professionals who need to maintain a stable working position at height: general construction, industrial maintenance, manufacturing and transportation. The 2 lateral hip D-rings enable hands-free positioning, while the dorsal ring connects to the fall arrest system. Made in the USA, compliant with CSA Z259.10-18.

This harness features 3 zinc-plated steel D-rings: 1 dorsal stand-up D-ring with anti-slip back pad, and 2 lateral hip D-rings for positioning. The patented 3M double-locking quick-connect leg buckles keep the adjustment secure throughout the shift without repeated readjustments. The chest strap buckle is pivoting and lockable (aluminum alloy / zinc-plated steel). The sternal connection is pass-through style (zinc-plated steel). The integrated sub-pelvic strap prevents orthostatic suspension syndrome in the event of a fall.
Color-coded straps simplify donning. Plastic end caps prevent fraying. An integrated connector enables quick connection and disconnection of a self-retracting lifeline. The integrated 3M Connected Safety ID (CSID) simplifies inventory management and inspections. Available in: Small, Medium, Large, X-Large.
Maximum load: 315 lb (140 kg) including clothing, tools and equipment. Compliant with CSA Z259.10-18 for the Canadian market. This harness is made to order by 3M — allow approximately 1 month for delivery.
High-strength polyester webbing (6,000 lb / 27 kN): superior resistance to acids, UV and common chemicals. Unpainted zinc-plated alloy steel hardware: allows direct visual inspection of metal parts without masking corrosion. Hybrid nylon/polyester padding at legs and back: extended comfort during long days at height. Color-coded straps enable rapid identification of each attachment point when donning.
Ideal for: general construction, industrial maintenance, manufacturing and transportation requiring a stable working position at height. Class AP combines fall arrest (dorsal D-ring) and positioning (hip D-rings) in a single harness. Available in 4 sizes: Small, Medium, Large, X-Large. To be used with a positioning lanyard connecting the hip rings to a lateral or lower anchor point.
Inspect the harness before every use: check for wear, tears, buckle or D-ring deformation, webbing degradation or chemical contamination. A qualified person must perform inspections at regular intervals (90 days recommended). Maximum service life is 5 years for regular use from the date of first use. Remove the harness from service immediately after a fall or impact, even if no visible damage is apparent. Sylprotec offers fall protection equipment inspection services.
Wash in warm water (37°C / 98.6°F) with mild soap. Never use bleach, solvents or abrasive products. Rinse thoroughly. Air dry away from direct heat and sunlight. Store in a dry location away from UV and contaminants. If the harness is heavily contaminated or has been exposed to aggressive chemicals, replace it.
A Class A harness has only one dorsal D-ring — it arrests a fall but does not allow hands-free positioning. A Class AP harness adds two lateral hip D-rings for positioning: the worker can connect these rings to a lateral or lower anchor point to work hands-free with stability.
No — this model is designed for fall arrest and positioning. For tower, wind turbine or pylon climbing, a Class AL harness (with sternal D-ring) or a model certified for that type of work is required. Contact us for the right selection.
Yes — the patented 3M double-locking quick-connect leg buckles hold the adjustment securely throughout the shift without repeated readjustments. Leg and back padding improves comfort during long days in elevated positions.
To complete this Class AP harness, we recommend a shock-absorbing lanyard (FPL1341001C or FPL1246567C) for fall arrest, and an adjustable positioning lanyard (FPL1385301C) to maintain your working position at the hip rings. Under Accessories at the bottom of the page, you will find references compatible with this harness.
To protect your entire team, add CSA-certified anchors (FPA1231117C or equivalent) and appropriate gloves (GS21 or G902 depending on the task). A hard hat completes fall protection during work at height.
