The Peakworks Contractor harness is a versatile class A fall-arrest harness built for regular construction and maintenance work. Fitted with a steel dorsal D-ring for fall arrest, it offers 5 adjustment points (2 on the legs, 2 on the torso and 1 on the chest) and a sub-pelvic support strap for a precise, comfortable fit. Available in a universal size, it suits workers from medium to extra-large.
The chest and thigh straps are joined by Pass-Thru buckles. With its 5 adjustment points, the Contractor model offers a more complete fit than the basic model, for better body balance during suspension after a fall.
Its hi-vis green polyester webbing offers better resistance to acidic chemicals than nylon and improves visibility on site. This harness supports a worker up to 400 lb (181.4 kg), including clothing, tools and equipment. Unpainted metal hardware. Complies with CSA Z259.10-12 and ANSI Z359.11-2014.
The Contractor model sits between the basic harness and the premium Peakpro: more adjustment, high visibility and high load capacity.
Its 5 adjustment points allow a precise fit for a wide range of body types, and its 400 lb (181.4 kg) capacity covers a wide variety of workers and tool loads.
This class A harness meets fall-arrest needs across many environments involving work at height:
A harness never protects on its own: it is the core of a complete fall-arrest system that must also include a reliable anchor point and a connecting means suited to the work at height. Depending on your site, you will pair the Peakworks Contractor harness with an energy-absorbing lanyard or connecting device, a compliant anchorage connector and the rescue equipment needed to act quickly after a fall.
The worker is responsible for a routine inspection before each use, looking for any sign of degradation, wear, malfunction or breakage. The harness must be replaced at the first sign of failure.
In addition, this harness should be inspected by a qualified person other than the worker who wears it. The required frequency varies by manufacturer: every 90 days, every 180 days or yearly. The harder the work and environmental conditions, the more often it should be inspected. The recommended service life of a harness is 5 years. Sylprotec offers a harness inspection service, available under the Service tab at the top of the page. Any equipment subjected to a fall or impact must be taken out of service.
For cleaning, use a gentle soap and clean lukewarm water (37 °C). Do not use bleach or other abrasive or chemical products. Air dry without excessive heat, in a clean environment, and avoid exposing the harness to sunlight or any source of contamination.
The Contractor model offers 5 adjustment points (versus 3 for the basic model), for a more complete fit and better body balance during suspension.
It supports a worker up to 400 lb (181.4 kg), including clothing, tools and equipment.
The recommended service life is 5 years. Any harness that has been through a fall or impact must be taken out of service immediately.
