The Dentec Koala Behr safety harness is a comfort-focused class A fall-arrest harness built for regular construction and maintenance work. Fitted with a steel dorsal D-ring for fall arrest, it combines five adjustment points (2 on the legs, 2 on the torso and 1 on the chest) with a sub-pelvic support strap, for a secure hold and excellent body balance during suspension. Available in a universal size, it suits workers from medium to extra-large.
Its tubular black polyester webbing is soft and padded in the upper section, providing remarkable all-body comfort and making shoulder pads unnecessary, even during prolonged wear. Polyester also offers better resistance to acidic chemicals than nylon, and plastic tips at the end of each strap prevent fraying while making adjustment easy, even with work gloves on.
The chest and thigh straps are joined by steel quick-connect buckles with an anti-panic mechanism: both sides must be pressed simultaneously to release, allowing the harness to be put on and removed quickly and safely. The metal hardware is steel with a black painted finish. Two rigid retaining loops hold the lanyard when not in use and limit tripping hazards, and a drop indicator makes visual inspection before each use easier. Dentec product code: 16H02474F1.
Designed for workers who wear their harness all day, the Koala Behr focuses on comfort without compromising safety. Its quick-connect buckles speed up donning and its padding reduces fatigue, encouraging continuous, compliant use.
Padded tubular webbing, five adjustment points and anti-panic quick-connect buckles: the harness adjusts fast and stays comfortable, encouraging workers to keep it snug and well positioned.
This class A harness meets fall-arrest needs across many environments involving work at height:
The worker is responsible for a routine inspection before each use, looking for any sign of degradation, wear, malfunction or breakage. The harness must be replaced at the first sign of failure.
In addition, this harness should be inspected by a qualified person other than the worker who wears it. The required frequency varies by manufacturer: every 90 days, every 180 days or yearly. The harder the work and environmental conditions, the more often it should be inspected. The recommended service life of a harness is 5 years. Sylprotec offers a harness inspection service, available under the Service tab at the top of the page. Any equipment subjected to a fall or impact must be taken out of service.
For cleaning, use a gentle soap and clean lukewarm water (37 °C). Do not use bleach or other abrasive or chemical products. Air dry without excessive heat, in a clean environment, and avoid exposing the harness to sunlight or any source of contamination.
The steel quick-connect (Quik-connect) buckles open and close by pressing both sides simultaneously (anti-panic mechanism), letting you don and doff the harness much faster than pass-thru buckles while staying safe.
This harness offers 5 adjustment points (2 on the legs, 2 on the torso and 1 on the chest) for a precise fit and better body balance during suspension after a fall.
It supports a worker up to 310 lb (141 kg), including clothing, tools and equipment.
A harness never protects on its own: it is the core of a complete fall-arrest system that must also include a reliable anchor point and a connecting means suited to the work at height. Depending on your site, you will pair the Koala Behr harness with an energy-absorbing lanyard or connecting device, a compliant anchorage connector and the rescue equipment needed to act quickly after a fall.
