Pioneer Flame-Gard coverall, code V1765, sold by unit, special order
This one-piece work coverall in fluorescent orange is designed for workers exposed to flame and electrical arc hazards who must remain highly visible. Arc 2 rated, it provides a thermal protection performance (TPP) value of 11.8 cal/cm2 and an ATPV value of 9.5 cal/cm2 (hazard risk category CAT 2). Available in sizes 36 to 66, selected from the drop-down menu above.
The coverall is made of 100 % Flame-Gard fire-retardant treated cotton, 10 oz (340 g/m2), a rugged fabric whose flame resistance is guaranteed for the life of the garment. Its double stitching is made with intrinsically flame-resistant aramid thread, and its two-way concealed flame-retardant brass zipper rounds out a design built for electrical environments.
This coverall combines the features expected of a professional protective garment for hot work, electrical work and traffic environments:
This flame-resistant coverall is intended for any position where an electrical arc risk assessment calls for an Arc 2 rated garment combined with a high-visibility requirement:
Careful maintenance preserves the garment's flame-resistant properties. Before washing, empty the pockets and close the zipper. Wash in lukewarm water with similar colors, using a mild liquid detergent. Do not use detergent containing chlorine or hydrogen-peroxide based bleaching agents, nor chlorine bleach. Do not use fabric softener, starch or dryer sheets, as they impair the garment's flame-resistant properties. Cover the retroreflective tape before any ironing. Inspect the garment before each use for cuts, burns or excessive wear.
This coverall complies with CGSB 155.20-2000, NFPA 70E, CSA Z462-15 and ASTM F1506. It is Arc 2 rated (hazard risk category CAT 2) with an ATPV value of 9.5 cal/cm2 and a thermal protection performance (TPP) value of 11.8 cal/cm2.
Yes. Fluorescent orange is a high-visibility color, highly perceptible during the day and in low-light conditions, reinforced by the StarTech reflective stripes. It therefore suits positions that combine electrical arc risk with the need to be seen, especially in traffic zones.
The coverall is available in sizes 36 to 66, men's fit. Select your size from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one to keep freedom of movement over your other clothing.
To complete your protection, shield your hands with Arc 2 flame-resistant gloves with neoprene palm (GS13FRNE). If you prefer a two-piece outfit, see the FR-Tech Pioneer 7 oz shirt (V131) and its matching cargo pants (V7764). For another one-piece option, compare with the blue cotton coverall (V1766) or the women's royal blue coverall (V7704F). Since the electrical work zone must always be delimited, mark it off with a signaling cone (EPTCONE), an expandable barricade (EPT195) and a high-tension danger sign (ECD401).
