This glove has a puncture resistance level 2 according to ASTM and ANSI standards.
This glove meets EN388 standards as for protection against mechanical hazards. This level of protection is expressed by a pictogram followed by four numbers, in this case 4131, where the resistance to abrasion is 4/4, the cut resistance is 1/5, the tear resistance is 3/4 and the puncture resistance is 1/4.
GS13BKPUQ peculiarities:
This nylon knit glove is so finely woven that it has almost no effect on the sense of touch which comes handy for workers that need to keep their tactile sensitivity. Nylon moreover doesn’t lint and polyurethane doesn’t flake which means a low-particulate shedding on handled parts.
Nylon properties:
Nylon exhibits good mechanical, electrical and chemical properties. It is also highly wear-resistant, mostly to friction, it doesn’t strain the hand easily and it resist well to heat, but not to an open flame. Nylon has a little to no absorbent quality which is ideal if you want to keep your hands dry while working.
Polyurethane properties:
Polyurethane is a polymer composed of organic units joined by urethane which gives it good chemical and mechanical properties. This material has a great resilience, it is not known to distort itself, it is also abrasion-resistant, cut-resistant and tear-resistant. It resists to various chemicals, UV light and liquids since it absorbs nothing whatsoever. PU also offers an excellent grip and a good touch-sensitivity as well as a good dexterity.
Use for:
This glove is recommended for the car industry, maintenance, aerospace industry, electronics industry, the small parts handling, cleanroom assembly, etc.
Do not use for:
Polyurethane offers little to no resistance to heat and since the glove is partially covered, it is not recommended to submerge it in liquids.
Maintenance and service life:
It is recommended to carry out a basic maintenance to extend the service life of your gloves. Simply wash them with cold water, that is, 85°F/30°C and a mild detergent. You can then dry them at low temperature in a dryer. Never use bleach on this glove.
