Made of 600 denier polyurethane-coated polyester oxford, it stands up to the elements and daily wear while its StarTech retroreflective stripes improve visibility in low-light conditions. Design of the red surveyor's jacket in 600D oxford
In red, this jacket is made of rugged, resistant 600 denier polyurethane-coated polyester oxford. It features StarTech retroreflective tape of 50 mm (2 in) alternating with fluorescent yellow stripes: 2 vertical stripes at the front, 2 vertical stripes on the sides, 2 X-shaped stripes at the back and a horizontal stripe at the waist, for maximum visibility. The front closure with brass snap buttons provides a secure hold.

Visibility of the red background and retroreflective stripes
Note that red workwear is not as visible as fluorescent or bright colours for daytime high visibility. However, the silver-grey retroreflective stripes are highly visible in low natural or artificial light, because they reflect light back toward its source (flashlight, vehicle headlights, etc.). They provide the most safety at dawn, dusk and night, but do not improve visibility in daylight.
