The Bradley HALO S19314SC combination shower provides immediate decontamination of the body, eyes and face when a worker is splashed by a hazardous or corrosive substance. It brings together a body shower and an eye and face wash on one pedestal, entirely in stainless steel: the bowl, cover, 1-1/4 in piping and SpinTec head are type 304 stainless, and the ball valve is type 316 stainless, all with an electro-polished finish. Bradley recommends stainless steel for harsh environments. Designed to the ANSI Z358.1 standard, the body shower delivers more than 20 US gpm (75.7 L/min) at 30 psi and the eye/face wash more than 3 US gpm (11.4 L/min) at 30 psi. A triangular pull rod opens the shower in a single motion, and the large push handle, easy to reach from any direction, starts the eye and face flush while leaving the hands free. Bradley Halo technology delivers effective eye and face coverage, the SpinTec head improves water distribution and an integral strainer reduces debris in the water while preventing clogging. The dust cover, universal identification sign and inspection tag are included. The height reaches up to 94-1/8 in (2391 mm) depending on the configuration.
For chemistry laboratories, food processing plants with frequent washdowns, electroplating shops, warehouse battery charging rooms and corrosive product transfer areas, when the risk assessment calls for a combination shower. The all stainless construction suits harsh environments where moisture and chemicals are present. The location, water connection and unobstructed access are planned by the employer with the plumber.
Install the station 10 seconds of walking or less from the hazard area, on the same level and along an unobstructed path. ANSI recommends tepid water, between 16 and 38 °C (60 and 100 °F), to avoid thermal shock. This shower does not include automatic temperature control: plan for a thermostatic mixing valve, sold separately. Activate the body shower and the eye/face wash every week to flush the piping and check the flow and valves, then record the test on the supplied inspection tag. Keep the dust cover in place between tests and keep the access to the station clear. Clean the stainless steel with a non-abrasive product and have the complete inspection carried out according to the Bradley instructions. Warning: never rinse the eyes with the body shower, its excessive pressure could worsen the injury.
No, it does not include automatic temperature control. To supply the tepid water recommended by ANSI, between 16 and 38 °C (60 and 100 °F), add a thermostatic mixing valve, sold separately.
This model is not freeze protected and is intended for an indoor location. For an area exposed to freezing, Bradley offers a Halo version protected by heat trace cable. Contact us to choose the right model.
Yes. The bowl, cover, piping and SpinTec head are type 304 stainless, the ball valve type 316 stainless, with an electro-polished finish. Bradley recommends stainless steel for harsh environments.
Up to 94-1/8 in (2391 mm) depending on the configuration. Check the ceiling clearance before installation.
The shower uses 1-1/4 in NPT threaded fittings. The plumber confirms the water inlet and drain in the Bradley instructions.
For a health and safety officer running the weekly test of this shower in an electroplating shop, plan for 3M SecureFit SF201 glasses (YASF201) with a clear anti-fog lens and Dexterity Kevlar composite gloves (GS13KFNT) with foam nitrile coating for handling the test equipment. A yellow polyester traffic sweater (VV6991) keeps her visible in the aisle, and a 3M H7A headband earmuff (OPH7A) is added in noisy areas. Yellow CAUTION barricade tape (ECT3YE1) marks off the drainage area for passers-by.
For the weekly test, the 2.1 m (7 ft) Bradley telescopic funnel (PD19330ST) directs shower water into a container, and the inspection tag (PD204421) keeps track of checks. The high visibility yellow Bradley curtain (PD19330) is an option to compare for station privacy. To equip another station in the plant, compare the PD19314SB Bradley combination shower with eyewash (PD19314SB). For the other Bradley stations of the fleet, keep in reserve the yellow (PD154058) 154-058 bowl and the S45-2453 (PD452453) heads, after checking the model in their instructions.
