The Miller Revolution RKNAR-QC/UBK harness is intended for work at height exposed to an arc flash hazard. Its Kevlar/Nomex DualTech webbing and its steel hardware, mounted on leather insulators, comply with ASTM F887-05. In addition to the back D-ring, a Kevlar web loop on the back allows a metal-free connection with a suitable Kevlar lanyard, without making the rest of the hardware non-metallic. Quick-connect buckles close the leg and chest straps. Class A under CSA Z259.10, this universal size harness offers a capacity of 400 lb / 181.4 kg.
For industrial electricians working at height in an electrical substation, line workers, power plant maintenance technicians and distribution network maintenance crews, when the arc flash risk assessment calls for a harness with Kevlar/Nomex webbing. Select the lanyard and other arc flash protective equipment separately.
Before each use, inspect the Kevlar/Nomex webbing, stitching, leather insulators, back D-ring and back web loop. Remove from service a harness that has been exposed to an arc flash, has arrested a fall or shows a burn, cut or deformation. Store the harness dry, away from chemicals, and follow the Miller instructions for cleaning and periodic inspection by a competent person.
It complies with ASTM F887-05, with Kevlar/Nomex DualTech webbing and leather insulators under the steel hardware. Select the complete outfit according to the arc flash risk assessment.
It refers to the tensile strength of the webbing only. The harness capacity is 400 lb / 181.4 kg.
It allows a metal-free connection with a suitable Kevlar lanyard. The rest of the hardware remains steel.
It is class A under CSA Z259.10.
Quick-connect buckles close the leg and chest straps.
For an industrial electrician climbing in a substation with this harness, plan for 3M Privo 12263 glasses (YA12263) with an amber lens and ParaActiv Pro A5 cut-resistant gloves (G132) with leather for material handling. Yellow Neons 311-1250 corded earplugs (OA1250C) and a yellow 16-pocket Pioneer 6693 surveyor vest (V6693), kept for moves where the arc flash assessment allows it, are added to the outfit. The yellow and black polypropylene expandable barrier (EPT195) marks off the work area.
For other crew needs, compare the Protecta P200 PRO vest-style welder (FPH1191392CA) harness and the ExoFit X100 (FPH140100XCA) class A harness with pass-through buckles. To install an anchor remotely, compare the DBI-SALA First-Man-Up adjustable pole (FPLR2100452X). In the same lot, the Miller H100 (FPH10023) in size 2XL/3XL serves tasks without an arc flash hazard. Store the harnesses in the large DBI-SALA transport bag (FPLR9506162) and plan for an R550 Rollgliss (FPLR5503325) device for rescue.
