Cold sheet metal, frosty profiles, strapped packaging: in winter, sharp edges do not go away, and hands must stay both protected and warm. These Zenith gloves do both. Their seamless high-performance polyethylene (HPPE) knit reaches ANSI A4 cut level, the acrylic lining keeps warmth in, and the foam nitrile palm coating keeps excellent grip on lightly oily, greasy or wet parts. Sold by the pair.

The manufacturer publishes an ASTM/ANSI A4 cut level, the cut rating of the North American ANSI/ISEA 105 standard. Under the European EN 388 standard, the glove reaches level 4 in abrasion, tear and puncture; it is not rated against needlesticks. The EN 511 standard assesses protection against cold: the level 2 obtained for contact cold indicates the glove's resistance when grasping a cold object.
High-performance polyethylene (HPPE) is an extremely strong fibre that gives the glove its ANSI A4 cut level without making it heavy. Knitted in 13 gauge, seamless and stretchable, it follows hand movements and leaves good dexterity to pick up small parts. Under the knit, the acrylic lining provides warmth and comfort in cold weather.
The palm is coated with foam nitrile, which provides excellent grip in light oil, greasy and wet conditions, common in winter with melting snow. Only the palm is coated: the back of the hand stays uncoated knit.
These gloves suit handling of sharp-edged materials in cold weather: sheet metal, metal profiles, glass, machined parts and strapped packaging, in unheated warehouses, yards, docks and on construction sites. For wet grip with a latex coating, see the Superior Glove TenActiv A3 latex palm gloves (GTKTAGLX); for extreme wet cold, the Superior Glove SNOW388V extreme cold gloves (GSNOW388V).
Level A4 protects against cuts, not against needlesticks or moving blades. The EN 511 contact cold level does not correspond to a minimum use temperature.
Wash the gloves in cold water with a mild detergent, rinse them in cold water, then lay them out to dry; never use bleach. Replace them as soon as the knit is cut or holed, the coating cracks or peels, or the lining is worn: a damaged glove does not keep its cut level.
