This sturdy steel protective wire mesh guard is the ideal solution to protect your emergency lighting units, exit signs, light fixtures, clocks, speakers and other sensitive devices installed in areas at high risk of impact or vandalism. Whether in a gymnasium, a warehouse or a busy corridor, it ensures the durability of your safety equipment by forming a physical barrier between the device and impacts.
The guard is made of 3/16 in (4.5 mm) steel rods crossed and welded to form a rigid, lightweight grid, entirely coated with a corrosion-resistant white enamel paint. It includes 4 attachment points for wall or ceiling mounting. The open 2 in × 2 in grid lets light and signals through while blocking objects that could damage the lenses or bulbs.
Beyond the simple barrier, this guard reduces maintenance costs and ensures the availability of your emergency lighting.
Made of quality steel with a white enamel paint finish, it withstands violent impacts (balls, forklifts, acts of vandalism) without deforming or rusting.
The wide 2 in × 2 in mesh maximizes light diffusion and signal readability while physically protecting the device.
The protective guard is essential wherever wall-mounted equipment is exposed to impacts :
This guard is compatible with most standard Sylprotec emergency lighting units and signs, including the Running Man signs (LUMR, LUMRMB), the "Sortie" signs (LUM, LUMB) and the spotlight units (LU36CLED, LU362LED, LU122002MT). Its generous dimensions allow it to cover these devices while letting light through.

No, the wide mesh (2 in × 2 in) maximizes light diffusion while blocking objects that could damage the lenses or bulbs.
Screws are generally not included, as they must be matched to the type of surface (concrete, drywall, wood) on which the guard will be installed.
This model is mainly designed for indoor use. For outdoor installation exposed to the weather, check specific corrosion-resistant products.
In places like gymnasiums or distribution centres, emergency lights are frequent targets for balls or lifting equipment. Installing a protective guard is a minor investment that ensures your emergency lighting will be operational the day you really need it to evacuate the building.
To complete your emergency lighting installation, see also a plastic sign (LUMR), a steel sign (LUMRMB), a Sortie model (LUM), a battery version (LUMB), a combo unit (LU36CLED), a 6V-LED unit (LU362LED), a 200W unit (LU122002MT) or a back-up cell (LB65).
