Featuring a durable stainless steel bowl, it ensures quick and efficient eye decontamination in case of chemical or thermal accidents. Complying with ANSI Z358.1-2009 standards, this eyewash station guarantees maximum protection, allowing your employees to work with peace of mind. Its innovative and robust design makes it a reliable choice for any workplace requiring enhanced safety.
Certified ANSI Z358.1-2009. Minimum flow exceeds 0.4 GPM (1.5 L/min). It does not include a device for controlling water temperature.
Ideal for laboratories, medical facilities, industries, workshops, and any other places where workers risk being exposed to dust, particulates or dangerous materials.
This eye wash station is wall-mounted and keeps the floor area cleared. Its single-step activation simply requires a push on the large handle, leaving a user’s hands free once turned on. This eye wash station is also barrier-free, for use by people in wheelchairs.
The eye wash station has separate pipes for water intake and drain, and ensures a safe, steady flow of water, even if the water supply pressure varies between 30 and 90 PSI. The bowl is made of heavy-duty stainless steel. The spray heads are equipped with strainers to filter water particulates, and with antimicrobial protection. Yellow plastic caps protect the spray heads from dust. Pipes are made of galvanized steel protected by a yellow Bradtec covering.
The manufacturer recommends the installation of a thermostatic valve in order to comply with ANSI Z358.1-2009 standards. A thermostatic valve keeps rinsing water at a lukewarm temperature. Rinsing water should not be too cold (for more comfort while rinsing for the minimum required rinsing time of 15 minutes) nor too hot (to avoid aggravating eye or face injuries and to avoid scalding).
Make safety a priority.
When an employee is exposed to eye contaminants, rapid response is essential. This pedestal eyewash provides immediate access to emergency rinsing without relying on a wall-mounted installation. Its freestanding configuration is especially useful in large workshops, laboratories, and open work areas where the equipment must be positioned away from walls. Its one-motion activation, which leaves both hands free afterward, helps improve workplace safety and ease of response.
The PD19214B model is ANSI Z358.1-2009 approved and provides a minimum flow rate greater than 0.4 GPM (1.5 L/min) at 30 PSI. It can be used in laboratories, clinics, industrial settings, and other workspaces requiring a compliant emergency eyewash. However, this model does not automatically control water temperature. The manufacturer therefore recommends adding a thermostatic valve to help maintain a proper flushing temperature during the minimum recommended 15-minute rinse period.
