The ExoFit X200 Class ALP (fall Arrest, Ladder climbing and Positioning) harness by 3M DBI-SALA is designed for construction professionals demanding reliability, comfort and safety during work at height. This harness is vest style, with vertical shoulder straps for easy donning and optimal comfort. It includes an integrated adapter to easily connect an individual self-retracting lifeline.

Technical description : features and components

This ExoFit X200 safety harness features a dorsal, sternal and hip D-rings with automatic vertical positioning (stand-up) and anti-slip plate. The patented 3M double-locking quick-connect buckles keep the adjustment secure throughout the shift, eliminating frequent readjustments. The torso buckle is swivel and lockable. The sub-pelvic strap prevents orthostatic suspension syndrome in the event of a fall.

The 6,000 lb polyester webbing offers superior UV and chemical resistance. Zinc-plated alloy steel hardware is unpainted for easy visual inspection. Color-coded webbing simplifies donning. Available in: Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2X-Large.

Inspection and service life : verification guide

Inspect before each use: check for cuts, fraying, broken stitching and deformed hardware. Inspection by a qualified person is required at least annually. Recommended service life: 5 years with regular use. Any harness subjected to a fall must be removed from service and destroyed immediately. Sylprotec offers annual inspection by a qualified technician.

Care and cleaning to extend service life

Clean with mild soap and lukewarm water (max 37 C / 98.6 F). Never use bleach, solvents or abrasive products. Air dry away from direct sunlight. Store hanging in a clean, dry location away from chemicals and heat sources.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Class ALP and a standard Class A harness?

A Class A harness only provides fall arrest through the dorsal D-ring. Class ALP combines three functions: fall Arrest (dorsal), Ladder climbing / limited access (sternal D-ring) and work Positioning (hip D-rings). This ExoFit X200 harness therefore covers jobs requiring fall protection, work positioning and vertical climbing at once, without switching equipment.

Can the dorsal, sternal and hip D-rings be used at the same time?

Each D-ring has a specific function and must never be used outside its intended purpose. The dorsal ring is for fall arrest, the sternal ring for guided ascent and the hip rings for positioning with a restraint lanyard. Use the ring matching the current task; hip rings are never used for fall arrest. Always consult the manufacturer's instructions and applicable regulations.

Why is there about a 1 month lead time for this harness?
