The 3M DBI-SALA ExoFit X300 Class ALP harness is built for oil and gas workers who demand performance, comfort and protection during work at height and extended suspension. Its vest style with vertical shoulder straps makes it easy to don and provides stable support throughout the day.
Its six anodized aluminum D-ring configuration covers fall arrest, climbing, seated positioning and extraction. A rigid seat strap provides comfortable, stable seated positioning during suspension work (oil, gas, confined spaces). Maximum capacity 310 lb (140.6 kg). Complies with CSA Z259.10-18. Made to order by 3M. Please allow approximately 1 month lead time.

This Class ALP harness includes six anodized aluminum D-rings. At the back, a stand-up dorsal D-ring is used for fall arrest and a second dorsal D-ring on an extension makes connecting a lanyard or self-retracting lifeline easier. A rear D-ring integrated into the belt is used for restraint and extraction (confined-space rescue using a winch or rescue system) and is not designed for fall arrest.
At the front, a sternal D-ring is used for climbing along vertical structures. Two seat D-rings allow comfortable seated positioning during suspension work. Anodized aluminum offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and good corrosion resistance in wet or chemical environments.
The auto-locking quick-connect buckles at the chest help maintain fit and greatly reduce buckle slide. The leg straps close with tongue buckles, and the padded work belt closes with a tongue buckle for stable positioning and lumbar support during extended work.
The harness includes auto-resetting lanyard keepers, which quickly stow the lanyard snap hooks, along with a holster for a portable radio or phone. The integrated 3M Connected Safety ID (RFID) system allows inspections to be recorded electronically.
Maximum capacity of 310 lb (140.6 kg) including worker weight, clothing and equipment. Complies with CSA Z259.10-18 (safety harnesses) in effect in Canada. Polyester webbing tensile strength: 6,000 lb (2,722 kg). This harness meets Canadian provincial and federal occupational health and safety regulations for work at height.
High-strength polyester webbing (6,000 lb / 2,722 kg), resistant to abrasion, moisture and UV. D-rings made from anodized aluminum, offering an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and superior corrosion resistance in wet or chemical environments.
Padding zones use a hybrid nylon/polyester comfort foam covered with breathable fabric for greater comfort during long workdays at height. The 3M Connected Safety ID (RFID) system is encapsulated in the harness body, resistant to impact, water and dust.
The ExoFit X300 Class ALP oil and gas harness is designed for workers operating on platforms, derricks, refineries and elevated processing facilities. Anodized aluminum hardware resists corrosive environments and light hydrocarbons. Made to order by 3M. Please allow approximately 1 month lead time.
Before each use, visually inspect the entire harness: webbing (wear, cuts, chemical or thermal burns, excessive UV exposure), hardware (deformation, corrosion, buckle operation), stitching (fraying, tearing) and D-rings (deformation, cracks).
A thorough inspection by a competent person must be performed every 6 months under normal use, or every 3 months under intensive use. Maximum service life is 5 years from first use. The harness must be removed from service immediately after any fall, even without visible damage. Record each inspection in the integrated CSID system for full traceability.
Clean the webbing with lukewarm water (maximum 37 degrees C) and a mild, non-abrasive soap using a soft brush. Never use solvents, bleach, acids or chlorinated products that degrade polyester fibres. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Air dry away from direct heat and UV rays; never place in a dryer. Clean the anodized aluminum hardware with a dry cloth. Store away from heat, moisture and chemicals.
The six D-rings cover several functions: the stand-up dorsal D-ring for fall arrest, a dorsal D-ring on an extension to easily connect a lanyard or self-retracting lifeline, a rear D-ring in the belt, a sternal D-ring for climbing and two seat D-rings for extended seated positioning.
The tongue buckles on the legs are set once and keep their position all day, ideal for a worker who keeps the harness on continuously. The auto-locking quick-connect buckles at the chest click and lock in a single motion for fast, reliable donning.
The ExoFit X300 harness is made to order by 3M. Please allow approximately 1 month from order confirmation. Contact Sylprotec to plan your order according to your needs.
To complete your fall protection system, add a leading-edge strap (FPLR80302-12LE) or an energy-absorbing lanyard (FPL1340129C) as a fall arrest connection. Protect the head with a Peak T2 climber helmet (TA222), the eyes with safety glasses (YASF401BG) and hearing with earplugs (OA101). For the job, add suitable gloves (GS13SXGPU) and a flame-resistant garment (V7705).
Under "Accessories" at the bottom of the page. For safe storage and transport of your equipment at height, a Peakworks bag (FPBAG) keeps your gear clean and ready for inspection.
