These Superior Touch® gloves are made of 13-gauge pepper-and-salt Dyneema knit with gray polyurethane coating up to the wrist. Sold by the pair, they are rated ASTM/ANSI puncture level 3 and cut level A2, while suiting work where cut protection, dexterity, tactile sensitivity and cleanliness of handled parts are important.
Superior manufacturer's code: S13SXGPU. These gloves are available in sizes ranging from extra-small (6) to triple extra-large (12). Please select the size needed in the field located above before adding these gloves to your cart.
According to ASTM and ANSI standards, these gloves are rated level 3 for puncture resistance and level A2 for cut resistance.
This glove is also approved for food handling by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
This glove offers unparalleled cut protection while still providing high dexterity and flexibility. Dyneema is a non-linting material and polyurethane does not flake, which makes for low particulate shedding on handled parts.
This glove also offers good grip on dry surfaces and average grip on wet surfaces.
Dyneema, also called ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWP), is at equal weight 15 times more resistant to abrasion than steel and twice as resistant as Kevlar.
Dyneema is one of the strongest thermoplastic materials for protection from abrasion and mechanical stress. It offers excellent chemical resistance, resists moisture well and, unlike Kevlar, resists UV light.
Dyneema also offers outstanding protection against mechanical risks such as wearing, abrasion and elongation.
Polyurethane (PU) is a polymer composed of organic units joined by urethane links, which gives it good chemical and mechanical properties. This material has great resilience, does not distort, and is resistant to abrasion, cuts and tears.
It resists various chemicals, UV light and liquids since it is non-absorbent. Polyurethane also offers good grip, excellent touch sensitivity and good dexterity.
This glove is recommended for workers handling sharp steel scraps, glazing work, printed circuit boards, the automotive industry and the food industry.
Polyurethane offers little to no resistance to heat. Since the gloves are only partially coated, it is not recommended to submerge them in liquids.
It is recommended to carry out basic maintenance to extend the service life of the gloves. Simply wash them with lukewarm water, that is 140 °F / 60 °C, and a regular detergent. Rinse the glove with cold water after washing. Dry them at low temperature in a dryer. If needed, this glove can be bleached.
These gloves are also available in all-white: see item GS13SXPU.
