This Protecta 3M 100% tie-off adjustable Y-lanyard keeps the worker connected at all times when moving from one anchor point to another, without ever being disconnected. Both legs are adjustable up to 6 ft (1.8 m) each, offering reach suited to the task. The webbing absorbs fall energy through an internal shock absorber that limits forces transmitted to the body. Three identical standard hooks equip the lanyard: one at the harness side and one at the end of each leg.
This Y-lanyard suits construction, steel structure assembly, and any job site requiring frequent movement between multiple anchor points without ever losing fall protection. Adjusting each leg allows the reach to be set to the working distance.
Abrasion-resistant polyester webbing. Built-in internal shock absorber limiting the arresting force transmitted to the worker. Three identical standard steel hooks with 3/4 in (19 mm) opening, double-action self-locking. Adjustable length up to 6 ft (1.8 m) on each leg. Capacity of 121 to 310 lb (54.9 to 140.6 kg), CSA Z259.11 compliant.
Any lanyard that has arrested a fall must be removed from service immediately. Inspect the webbing, stitching, and all three hooks before each use. Never connect both legs to the same anchor point at once unless the anchor allows it.
The Y configuration keeps the worker connected at all times when moving between two anchor points, without ever being disconnected.

A drilling platform technician connecting with this Protecta 3M lanyard completes personal protection with a flame-resistant garment (V129) required on this type of site, a helmet (TA14LR) held by its chinstrap (TA14CS), cut-resistant gloves (GS13KFNT), safety eyewear (YASF202) and corded earplugs (OA1101) that stay around the neck and cannot drop from height.
For the lanyard to work in a complete fall arrest system, plan a Protecta 3M harness (FPH1161542CA), a Protecta 3M fixed anchor (FPA2103680), a second Protecta 3M complementary anchor (FPA9504674), a 300 ft RollGliss R550 rescue (FPLR5503325) and descent device for emergency lowering, a DANGER barricade tape (ECT3YE7) to cordon off the ground area and the sign (ECO130) reminding that the harness is mandatory.
