G519 peculiarities:
This glove offers an excellent barrier against chemical substances such as oils, grease, acids, caustics, solvents, oxidation and ozone. The thick layer of PVC on this glove provides an outstanding resistance to abrasion and tensile strength. Moreover, its rough finish provides a better grip even though you immerse them in a dip tank.
PVC properties:
PVC is a thermoplastic polymer featuring excellent mechanical and chemical properties even when heated. Indeed PVC shows a considerable resilience to many chemical products, but is susceptible to some organic solvents. However, PVC has a higher polar nature which gives it inferior electrical insulating properties.
Use for:
This glove is recommended for chemical handling, the construction field, agriculture, general maintenance, oils, acids and caustics handling, petro-chemical industry, oil refining and any other application requiring a soaking such as glass chemical reinforcement.
Do not use for:
PVC has poor resistance to UV light and at low temperature, has the tendency to harden and crack. It also has a poor resistance to organic solvents and to hot water and is not recommended for use above 79° C (175° F).
Maintenance and service life:
It is not recommended to wash this glove since it is afterward quite difficult to get all dry.
