The Lad-Saf DBI-SALA 3M cable guide 6100136 is a cable guide bracket designed for Lad-Saf vertical safety systems installed on a steel pole ladder or a lower angle branch. This weld-on bracket, installed by the user, bolts to the cable guide for a fast, easy and secure installation. Its all-stainless-steel construction is extremely rugged and corrosion resistant, making it suitable for demanding environments.
Customizable to suit almost any application, this bracket is part of a modular system. The top bracket, self-crimping spacer sleeves, cable, cable guide and sleeve are ordered separately. The complete system can accommodate up to 4 workers at a time and offers a load capacity of 141 kg (310 lb).
On a vertical cable safety system, the cable guides keep the lifeline aligned along the structure and reduce sway. The 6100136 guide bracket firmly attaches the guide to a steel pole or a lower angle branch, where a standard rung mount is not possible. Installed by welding and bolting, it ensures a durable hold of the guide in customized configurations.
Before each use, inspect the bracket, the weld, the bolting and the attached cable guide. Check for corrosion, cracks, deformation or loose fasteners. Any damaged component must be removed from service. A formal inspection by a competent person other than the user is required at least once a year, per 3M manufacturer instructions and applicable provincial regulations. See our services to learn more.
Clean the bracket with water and mild soap, then air dry. Stainless steel resists corrosion, but clean, dry storage extends the life of the equipment. Do not modify the bracket or its weld. Follow the 3M user manual instructions for maintenance frequency and method.
It is the bracket that attaches the cable guide to a steel pole or angle branch. The cable guide itself is ordered separately.
The weld-on bracket is installed by the user, then the cable guide bolts to it for a fast, secure fit.

The industrial climber scales chimneys and vertical silos, suspended in the void for hours. A wrong move or unsuitable equipment is enough to turn a routine climb into a serious fall. On this type of job site, he wears his full personal protective equipment: a Class L sternal-D-ring safety harness (FPH140310XCALP) that keeps him facing the ladder, cut-resistant gloves (G120), safety glasses (YA12E93103), a protective helmet (TA14OR) held by its chin strap (TA80CS), a high-visibility garment (V139FJ) and hearing protection, earmuffs (OPH7A).
To build the complete vertical fall arrest system, pair this product with the other components of the Lad-Saf range: the Lad-Saf X3 sleeve (FPA5000338); a flexible lifeline counterweight (FPA5901583); the Lad-Saf system (FPA6100219); the system instructions and label plate (FPA6100252); an intermediate galvanized or stainless cable guide; an intermediate galvanized pole cable guide (FPA6100430); and an end-of-line cable guide. Also plan a RollGliss R550 rescue and descent device (FPLR5503325) for controlled descent, and mark off the area at the base of the structure with a DANGER barricade tape (ECT3RE9).
