Limitations and safe use
- NIOSH approved with 3M Secure Click facepieces. Do not use in atmospheres immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) or in oxygen-deficient atmospheres.
- Establish a cartridge change schedule and replace the cartridges no later than when the odour or taste of the contaminant is detected.
- Ozone: 3M recommends it up to 1 ppm, for a maximum of 40 hours. This is a manufacturer recommendation, not a NIOSH approval.
- Use within a respiratory protection program that meets CSA Z94.4; read the 3M user instructions before use.
Cartridge replacement
Establish a change schedule based on the contaminants and concentrations at the workstation. Replace both cartridges at the same time, no later than when the odour or taste of the contaminant is detected.
