This kit is recommended for absorbing spills of oils, oil-based fluids and hydrocarbons (petroleum derivatives). Sorbents are hydrophobic (let water through) and can be used indoors and outdoors. They are color-coded white for oil-only spills. This large spill kit is suitable for manufacturing plants and construction sites. Item request for construction site.
No returnable if used. For more information about our return policy, please refer to the Orders and Returns.

These pads, sheets and pads are recommended for oily and hydrocarbon (petroleum derivative) spills. The absorbent material is hydrophobic (does not absorb water) and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Important: Do not use this kit in the event of a spill of unknown nature.
The absorbent pillow has a lint-free, non-woven polyester cover. The cover is stitched on three sides. The pillows are filled with polymeric absorbent flakes and do not contain polyacrylate.
Pillows have a greater absorption capacity than absorbent sheets. They are especially recommended for tight spaces. Avoid exposing pillows to high temperatures.
Pads (also known as absorbent sheets) are made from nonwoven polypropylene fibers obtained by melt-blowing. The fibers are reinforced by sonic wave welding applied in a grid of dots, giving the sheets an embossed appearance. The sheets have an average grammage of 240 g/m2. The sheets have perforations centered along their entire length, so only half can be used if required. The sheets absorb fluids quickly thanks to their large surface area.
The socks have a circular knitted sheath. The ends of the tubes are closed with metal clips. Socks are recommended for containing spills rather than absorbing them, as they have a smaller contact surface than absorbent sheets.
The barrel is made of blue high-density polyethylene (HDPE), with a removable lid and closing rim. The barrel protects absorbents before use. It can also be used to store used sorbents and to transport used sorbents for disposal. The drum is approved for the transport of hazardous materials.
Spill kits are emergency kits that contain tools to contain and clean up hazardous liquids in the event of a spill or leak. These kits are used for rapid and effective responses to produce or oily liquid spills. Spill kits are particularly useful in workplaces where oily products are stored and used.
Spill kits contain process-specific equipment, appropriate personal protective equipment and any other necessary materials. It is important to note that each workplace must develop and implement appropriate measures based on the products present and their quantities.
Disposal of used absorbent materials:
Materials used to absorb and clean up a spill are considered hazardous materials and must be disposed of in accordance with current regulations.
In Quebec, consult the Environmental Quality Act, the Regulation respecting hazardous materials and the Regulation respecting the transportation of hazardous materials.
The oil spill kit has a shelf life of approximately 5 years, provided it is kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
You need additional safety equipment. Look at the items; oil spill pads (ABHT100), oil spill socks (ABHB30), construction helmets (TA14LR), nitrile gloves 3.8 mil (GL7005), textured gloves (GL9315), high-visibility rain suits (VP5618).
