The North work positioning belt features a lumbar support and two lateral D-rings. It closes with a tongue and grommet buckle and includes a 4 in (10 cm) black polyester lumbar support strip. Together, they help reduce the back strain felt by a worker wearing fall protection or fall restraint equipment.
It is also available in sizes from small (S) to extra-extra-large (XXL). Please select the right size from the menu above.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE THIS BELT AS FALL ARREST EQUIPMENT. This belt is designed to be worn as a positioning accessory. A full-body protection harness must always be worn. In case of a fall, a worker wearing a belt instead of a harness may experience serious abdominal injuries, or even death if slipping out of the belt.
The 4 in lumbar support spreads the load and reduces lower back fatigue during long periods of standing or bent-over work. Workers wearing a harness and heavy equipment benefit from added support and better comfort throughout the day.
The two lateral D-rings let you connect a positioning rope or chain on each side of the worker, holding them in place to work hands-free without moving out of the desired zone. This is ideal for work on poles, ladders or structures.
The tongue and grommet buckle provides a solid, consistent fit. With five available sizes (40 to 56 in waist), every worker can find an adequate fit for safe and comfortable wear.
The positioning belt must never be used to arrest a fall. It is an accessory that holds the worker in place or keeps them out of the fall zone. A full-body harness must always be worn in addition, connected to a secure anchor point by the dorsal D-ring. The belt and its lateral D-rings serve the positioning function only.
No. The belt is a positioning accessory only. It cannot arrest a fall and must always be combined with a full-body harness connected to a secure anchor by the dorsal D-ring.
Select the size based on your waist: S = 40 in, M = 44 in, L = 48 in, XL = 52 in, XXL = 56 in. Choose the size from the menu at the top of the page.
They allow you to connect a positioning rope or chain on each side of the hips, to hold the worker in place for hands-free work while maintaining basic fall protection.
To build a complete positioning system, first see the Peakworks 5/8 in positioning rope (FPAC815) and the Miller steel positioning chain (FPAM90) that connect to this belt's lateral D-rings. A full-body positioning-ring harness (FPH2000APLE) remains mandatory as basic protection.
Under "Accessories" at the bottom of the page, complete your equipment with the Peakworks class A contractor harness (FPH2000A), the quick-connect Koala harness (FPH-Koala), the tool strap (FPLA) and the Peakworks storage bag (FPBAG).
