Confined Space Yoke
This equipment has been design to link a safety harness to a winch. The D-ring on the back of the harness must be fastened to a fixed installation such as a winch tripod, and the carabiners must be attached to the harness’ lateral D-Rings on the shoulders. Please note that when working in confined spaces, one must be equipped with a type 3 lifeline which will be used as a failsafe system.
This equipment has been design to support a maximum weight of 350 lb (158 kg). This weight includes clothes, tools and any other equipment.
The 1 in (2.5 cm) wide webbing is made of polyester, a strong, cost effective synthetic suited to most fall arrest applications due to its strength to weight ratio, good abrasion resistance and resistance to alkalis.
This piece of equipment must absolutely be used with the harness equipped with shoulder D-rings for confined space rescue.
This equipment also comes with three double locking snap hooks which have all a ¾ in (19 mm) gate opening. These are made of a strong forged steel alloy. The D-Ring has a 2 1/8 in (54 mm) diameter.
The hardware has a minimum tensile strength of 5000 lb (22kN) and the carabiners can support a force of 3600 lbs (16kN) without any distortion.
The lifting yoke consists in a 1 in (25 mm) diameter PVC tube measuring 14 in (35.5 cm) in length.
The spreader bar keeps the shoulder snap hooks from pulling inwards.
This product meets CSA Z259.11-05 and ANSI Z359.1-2007 standards.
