The Peakworks fixed steel anchorage connector is a permanent anchorage point designed for fall protection. It features a D-shaped metal attachment that reduces the risk of connector roll-out. It fastens to a load-bearing structure (mounting bolts not included) and serves as an attachment point to connect a harness, lanyard or retractable to a fall protection system. Peakworks manufacturer codes: V8221111, model CP-10011-1. Sold individually.
It meets the CSA Z259.15 and ANSI Z359.18 standards as well as OSHA requirements, and withstands a force of 5000 lb (22 kN) without deforming. For use by a single person, with a maximum capacity of 310 lb (140.6 kg), including clothing and tools. Built for harsh environments, it withstands temperatures from -40 °F to 130 °F (-40 °C to 54 °C).
Rugged and permanent, this steel connector provides a reliable anchorage point whose D shape limits roll-out, for repeated use on a load-bearing structure.
The connector fastens to a load-bearing structure able to support the required load, using ½ in bolts (not included), according to the manufacturer's instructions. As with any fall protection anchorage point, the location must be selected by a competent person: assess the fall distance, the free clearance below the worker, the rescue measures and the anchor strength (5000 lb).
The worker is responsible for a routine inspection before each use: look for any sign of degradation, wear, corrosion, malfunction or breakage. Replace the connector at the first sign of failure. It should also be inspected periodically by a qualified person other than the worker. Any equipment subjected to a fall or impact must be removed from service. Sylprotec offers a fall protection equipment inspection service; see the Services tab.
Here are the most frequent questions about the fastening, capacity and compliance of this anchorage connector.
No. The mounting bolts are not included; use ½ in (12.7 mm) bolts suited to your structure.
It withstands a force of 5000 lb (22 kN) without deforming and suits a worker with a maximum weight of 310 lb (140.6 kg), equipment included.
On a load-bearing structure able to support the required load, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
To build a complete fall protection system, this connector combines with the rest of the protection chain.
