The Peakworks anchor strap is a flexible anchorage connector designed for fall protection. Made from 1-15/16 in (4.9 cm) woven polyester, it features a small steel ring at one end to attach a connector to the anchorage point, and a choker loop at the other end to wrap it around a solid structure. Peakworks manufacturer codes: V8209504, model CAS4-4 (4 ft). Sold individually.
It is designed to withstand static forces of 5000 lb (22 kN), in compliance with the CSA Z259.15-17 and ANSI Z359.1-2007 standards. It is available in 3 ft, 4 ft or 6 ft (0.91, 1.22 or 1.83 m) — choose the size from the drop-down menu above.
Light and versatile, this strap creates a quick anchorage point around a solid structure, adapting to different configurations thanks to its choker loop.
Wrap the strap around a solid structure able to support the required load, then pass the small ring through the choker loop to create an anchorage point. Then connect your harness, lanyard or retractable with an approved connector. As with any fall protection anchorage point, assess the fall distance, the free clearance below the worker, the rescue measures and the anchor strength (5000 lb).
The worker is responsible for a routine inspection before each use: look for any sign of wear, cut, fraying, burn or degradation of the strap and ring. Replace the strap at the first sign of failure. It should also be inspected periodically by a qualified person other than the worker. For cleaning, use mild soap and lukewarm water (37 °C), with no bleach or abrasive or chemical products; air-dry, away from sunlight, without excessive heat. Any equipment subjected to a fall or impact must be removed from service. Sylprotec offers a fall protection equipment inspection service; see the Services tab.
