This HEPA air purifier features a three-stage filtration system that captures particles as small as 0.3 microns with 99.97% efficiency. It operates in negative pressure, positive pressure, or recirculation mode, making it versatile for various remediation scenarios. Whether you're working in confined spaces or largely contaminated areas, the HEPA-AIRE deluxe adapts to your needs with two speed settings—1300 cfm for smaller zones and 2000 cfm for high-volume purification.
It is equipped with three different filters, which overlap one another accordingly to a given order. The air scrubber comes with one set of filters, that is, a primary filter, an accordion-shaped secondary filter and a HEPA filter. It is now possible to replace the secondary filter by another secondary filter of activated coal for protection from organic vapors in low concentrations. This type of filter is particularly useful when it comes to mold decontamination work.
This air scrubber is certified ETL and meets UL and CSA requirements as for safety standards. This equipment minimal power supply requirement is 120V/60 Hz. Its normal operating amps is 9 A.

High-efficiency filtration for asbestos abatement and decontamination.
The galvanized steel cabinet includes a 12-inch circular air outlet for easy duct connection and a front-access panel for quick filter changes. Weighing 124 lb (56.25 kg), the unit is equipped with four 4-inch casters—two fixed and two swivels—and four sturdy handles for safe transport. Its compact dimensions (35.75" W X 26" D X 30.25" H) make it ideal for maneuvering on job sites. The unit includes a primary filter, an accordion-style secondary filter, and a certified HEPA filter. Optional activated carbon filters are available for low-level organic vapor protection during mold remediation.
Installing the HEPA-AIRE deluxe is straightforward. Position the unit in the work zone, connect the outlet duct to the 12-inch air discharge, and plug it into a standard 120 V/60 Hz power source. The unit draws 9 amps and is ready to operate in your chosen mode. Its mobility and ergonomic design make it easy to relocate as needed during the project.
Routine maintenance is essential to ensure consistent air purification. Replace the primary filter regularly to prevent clogging. Monitor the visual filter change indicator to know when the secondary and HEPA filters need replacement. For asbestos and mold remediation, a DOP test (dispersed oil particulate) is mandatory to verify the integrity of the HEPA filter. This test confirms there are no leaks in the filter media, frame, or seals and must be performed before work begins, after each relocation, and every four weeks if the unit remains stationary.
To determine how many air purifiers are needed, calculate the volume of the work area (length X width X height) and apply the formula based on required air changes per hour—typically four in Quebec. For example, a 20,000 ft³ space with a 1300 cfm unit requires two purifiers, while a 2000 cfm unit may suffice alone. However, real-world conditions like door openings, duct length, filter saturation, and power fluctuations can reduce airflow. To maintain negative pressure and ensure safety, consider using a more powerful unit or combining two purifiers.
Yes, the DOP test is mandatory to confirm the HEPA filter’s efficiency and ensure no particle leakage during hazardous material removal.
Use the formula: (volume in ft³) ÷ (15 minutes × cfm of the purifier), (15 min for Quebec, 10 min for Ontario). Round up to the nearest whole number to determine the required units.
Absolutely. The HEPA-AIRE deluxe is effective for concrete dust, sawdust, plaster particles, and other fine airborne contaminants in construction and renovation settings.
