No returnable if used. For more information about our return policy, please refer to the Orders and Returns.
This metal base allows an extinguisher (2.5 to 5 pounds) to be installed on the vertical structure of a forklift (lift truck). Designed for a non-destructive attachment, it avoids damaging the forklift structure when installing the extinguisher hook. The base measures 10 cm between its two 2-inch bolts.
It is ideal to keep an extinguisher within reach on a forklift, in line with good operational-readiness practices. Note: the base is not compatible with all forklift structures; check compatibility before installation.
Type: metal mounting base for an extinguisher on a forklift.
Capacity: 2.5 to 5 lb extinguisher.
Bolt spacing: 10 cm between the two 2-inch bolts.
Dimensions: height 4 in (10.16 cm) x length 10 in (25.4 cm) x width 4 in (10.16 cm).
Weight: 0.5 lb (0.22 kg).
Installation: non-destructive.
Per NFPA 10 on portable extinguishers, operational readiness is essential: place the extinguisher in a strategic spot, and never set it on the floor.
Proper bracket: an extinguisher must always be installed on a purpose-built bracket, securely screwed to the wall.
Vertical position: the Montreal Fire Safety Service (SIM) recommends a vertical installation; an extinguisher is only laid down when empty, to spot it and have it recharged.
Vibration: dry chemical extinguishers are sensitive to vibration that packs the powder; a well-tensioned hook limits this.
Flat-head screws: use flat-head screws to fix the hook so you do not damage the extinguisher cylinder (the wrong self-drilling screws leave notches).
No overload: do not hang any clothing or object on the hook or the extinguisher.
Check: regularly verify that the hook holds the extinguisher well and is securely fastened.
The base is not compatible with all forklift structures. Check compatibility with your forklift before purchase and installation.
